I am glad i am not the only one who thinks Zenimax has gone too far with the monthly subscription and base game price + in-game shop.

lots of people think the way you do and lots of people disagree with you. the people who agree with you will just end up finding another game or will just pay it anyway. its not changing now

You're just one of the few.

The majority is okay with it.

There is a cash shop? Is that confirmed, or was this guy just assuming there would be because of all the people saying the Imperial pre-order constitutes a "cash shop"...?

There is a cash shop, though it will contain "fun items" http://www.myelderscrolls.de/news/154-eso-interview-abomodell-itemshop-entwicklung.

So there will be no "game winning" items. But things like name change etc

Edit: interesting review from someone who played more then 1h. the tone and view in his talk about the game is so much different then most reviewers.

With the archery it looks that it is more for stealth characters because archery shots work much stronger when done from hiden mode. I'm not sure if it is good or not, but I could go after some players and switch to creep mode while they fight and put enemy down with one shot, I guess in team it would not work this way because team starts to fight when any of members fight.

Still I can see only game (in two versions) in cash shop, so will wait and will see before criticism. I see no reason to get too much excited and imagine world collapses becuase game shop exists. But it would be bad thing and sign of game fall down if in the cash shop items usefull in game are placed.

The other fact is that good well known companies charge twice or up to four times for products that are only slightly better then from average brands. I do not mind paying more for game of my dreams, but sure there are some limits - it is always my decision to pay or not for some product.

I also really confirm that many reviews seem not passed level 7 when you finally got into continent. The <7 is not bad but does not give promise of this game. It is strange that many reviewers do not spent more then few hours, but actually I do not think reviewers are much interested in playing the games - they are more interested in criticising them.

PS. Animations should improve, it is not they are so bad, but world is so great that average animations just downgrade game.

Paul Sage has since clarified that Matt Firor misspoke when he said there would be a "cash shop".

http://www.reddit.com/r/elderscrollsonline/comments/1xg8cp/there_will_not_be_a_cash_shop_or/

"Sage confirms that Matt Firor simply picked his words poorly when he mentioned there would be a cash shop on top of the subscription fee. Sage says that Firor was talking about things like name changes – things you cannot normally do in the course of your gameplay. He even states that to his knowledge there is no cash shop."

Ye I interpret that as no cash shop as in f2p cash shop, though there will be a way to buy some stuff like name change.

though to some "cash shop" might just sound negative a way for them to make money.
