Here's the one I've been listening to this week-
Pearl Jam- Alive

Let's keep the forum rules in mind here, try not to link songs with explicit lyrics.
Screaming Trees. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JwNdLjqaMLs
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oVAS8mYDB_E Personally I thought this was pretty cool.
I will just give some artists that I like in case anyone is trying to jog their memory for Grooveshark or whatever. All recording in the 1990s I think. The categories are just rough. I think it was a good decade for rock.
The Melvins were sort of grunge, but they are largely a stoner metal/sludge metal band. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BzHZrts808c
Most sludge metal sounds a bit grungey. Same goes for the more grunge inspired forms of doom metal. You'd be amazed how many metal bands were inspired by grunge.
I will make a specific recommendation, some NZ grunge maybe you guys have not heard. You have to turn it up to 11.

This was just on TV, I should've given her a shout-out also.

This.
I've been thinking about doing a Rock thread for ALL ROCK MUSIC types (Or maybe a Rock/Metal thread for all Rock and Metal music types, since the normal Metal thread doesn't cover all Metal types or musicians).
Exactly what i was gonna say. I'm down for that.
Though there is already a metal thread I'd just keep it to rock.
It isn't a pure Metal thread. Like can't talk about Avenged Sevenfold cause they are "metalcore" specifically... (Even though they are still Metal since Metal itself covers everything that is metal... Metalcore is just a sub-genre really to Metal).
