The Rings of Mora

Post » Thu Feb 13, 2014 9:31 pm

Seeing as we already know they exist due to them being listed on the website and on anywhere else you can purchase the game I'm confident this doesn't break the NDA.

Anyway so does anyone know any further information about these?

What added % do they offer to you when in a party with your spouse?

Will we be able to use them to teleport to our spouse when they are not in an unreachable area (instance)

Can we marry anywhere in the world or do we have to visit a specific location.

Lastly can we have same gender marriages?

I saw something linked with these rings (I'm sure), other than that, don't think I can say anything. Damn this NDA...

As listed on several site you have to complete the Quest of Mara.... meaning you are kinda Married to another player... literally. then when you play with them you get the bonus... how much IDK, how soon can the quest be done IDK also will the rings be purchasable with gold later on IDK, but all races will get to make imperial armor when they find the right "teacher" later on The ESO podcast on youtube covers all of this in the first 10 minutes

Rings of Mora? http://images.uesp.net/b/b4/DB-npc-Hermaeus_Mora.jpg

I think everything you asked is under NDA except the last point. Yes, there are same-six marriages.

Finally! Getting sick of all those NDA paranoids who can't talk anything about anything without thinking they break some NDA.

All playable races in this game walk on 2 legs. NDA break!!!!!!

In this game mana is called magicka. Oh [censored], I broke the NDA!!!!!

Voldemort kills Dumbledore. Not the NDA!!!!

Well my friend, why don't you tell us everything you know about the game that is still under NDA? It's not worth risking so little information...

Agreed, the items are already common knowledge and published on the official website, if they didn't want any conversation around them they wouldn't have even said you get them in the first place.

Come to think of it, I don't know what the article's author's sources are. Surely it's his secret beta knowledge.

But seriously, anyone knows where he found that number?

Yes, but the fact that the items are mentioned on a website doesn't mean that players suddenly had the NDA lifted off their shoulders. They've also mentioned that set armor crafting can be found in special locations in one of the MMORPG.com previews. Doesn't mean that I can now tell you all about where to find those tables and what bonuses the sets provide if the preview didn't mention them. Even if I know that information.

The NDA prevents us from talking about any specifics of the gameplay that we would only have gleaned from our experience playing a closed beta. I would love to have it lifted, but since it hasn't been, I'll have to remain extremely vague. So as you've been told, no official source has that information, and anyone who may have experience with it isn't allowed to share.

those rings are a cursed item.

Upon equipping the rings on both you and your partner you immedietly draw spouse aggro, duration is permanent.

My understanding is the same mechanic is in the game for everyone with the only exception is that you dont have the "rings" So anyone can do the deal and get bonus xp for grouping with someone.

One of my big questions about the bonus from group xp is if someone has to be near you that you are grouped with, can you be grouped and the other person doing their own thing and still get a bonus....guess ill test that out next round if someone hasn't already.

So you equate marriage to the woman being the b@itch? I would think there are some ladies here that might not appreciate that unless of course you are RPing lol. :P

In Skyrim, you wore the amulet of Mara to start the marriage quest. Then after the ceremony you are given the rings of Mara to signify the union.

My guess is that they are going to be a reward for completing the quest. So by them being included, you are simply being permitted to skip the quest that everyone else still has to do.

My guess is that the rings will bind to the first character to wear them, so future/additional unions will require the quest as normal.
