Which creation myth do you believe?

Post » Fri Feb 14, 2014 12:30 pm

Almost all of the races on Nirn have their own theories as to how Nirn came about, and in turn, how the et'Ada came about. I'm no lore buff, but after reading 'Words of Clan Mother Ahnissi' I find the Khajiit theory the most interesting by far, and that's all I can really judge these myths on, their level of interest. I especially like the part about Namira and The Great Darkness.

So I ask you, which creation myth do you believe? And which creation myth do you find to be the most interesting?

All of them.

Most interesting to me in more recent times, would probably be the Skaal's Allmaker.

Yes, I do like that one. Which is odd, as i'm normally not a great fan of Monotheism.

I don't care much about the origin of the universe, but I like the following from The Old Ways and I always consider that an aedroth or daedroth may once have been a mortal on Mundus:

"What, after all, is the origin of these spiritual forces that move the invisible strings of http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Mundus? Any neophyte of http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Artaeum knows that these spirits are our ancestors -- and that, while living, they too were bewildered by the spirits of their ancestors, and so on back to the original Acharyai. The http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Daedra and http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Gods to whom the common people turn are no more than the spirits of superior men and women whose power and passion granted them great influence in the afterworld."

They are no more animists than they are monotheists, unless of course, some juicy details are being held back from us mere mortals.
