Haggling Bug

Post » Fri Feb 14, 2014 2:54 am

I am trying to barter/haggle in Morrowind and I have to click each time I want to move the price of gold up or down by one. (Example: I want to sell something for 400g. The Merchant offers 238. I have to click 162 times to get to 400.) I am not given the option of holding down the mouse to fast barter. Is there a fix to this issue, or a mod which Icould merely type in the price I wanted to sell/buy?

Thanks

You can accomplish this via MGE macro functions. They have functions for increasing/decreasing barter amount for 1 or 10 or 100 or 1000 or 10000.

More info http://sourceforge.net/apps/mediawiki/morrgraphext/index.php?title=Macro_Functions#Haggle_more.2Fless and http://sourceforge.net/apps/mediawiki/morrgraphext/index.php?title=Macro_Editor.

Well I have the latest patch and it allows "Max Sale" with one click. It's been a while since I DLed this, but you could probably do a search and get it.

You might not need a patch or mod at all. I had this problem at one time and the people here noted that it can be fixed with a simple change to the morrowind.ini file. I made the recommended change and haven't looked back since. http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1140357-ideas-about-problem-in-stores/ the link to the thread.
