Very simple question: Do NPCs respawn if they are disabled?

It's something I wondered very recently, I know for non-respawning characters that they'll never be seen again, but for respawning characters can they respawn after being disabled via console or a script?

Generic ones should respawn in 10 or 31 days. If the cell has them as part of the inventory (my word for all the stuff that is supposed to be rendered in a cell) Although, one person did use the console to disable flock of birds that was stuck in a tree and never saw the birds again. But, that could be for other reasons.

You could use the command Kill instead, then the game will deal with the corpse the same way all the other ones are.

Hmm, generic as in not flagged unique?

Birds aren't NPC's, so that's not quite the same. ;)

Yes, all references that are set to respawn will do so independently from their enable state.

There is no difference in setting the respawn flag for either NPC references or Activator references. Bird activator simply don't need to respawn, so the flag isn't set.
