went and saw robocop, thought it was pretty good.

i recall the forums being mostly pessimistic about how the movie would be, criticisms about the color of the suit etc. can't say much really with out spoilers, since the movie was really an origins kind of thing, in the sense the main plot progression was driven by how much further and further murphey became more machine than man.

I can definitely tell that people are going to be picking at the political overtone of the movie, fictional politics mostly.

overall i'd say that it was good, not very good, but i want to see some sequels. considering robocop was the most influencial piece of media of my childhood and further I'd be one of the most critical viewers of the movie.

Bought tickets to see it Saturday I am expecting a so so movie.

yes, but they've taken a different approach to it. the movie is more about software than hardware, kind of. weighing machine versus man, in a realistic sense.
