Names like Drizzt, Legolas and also names that start and end in "xx" (or variants thereof) are indicators to show that you should never, EVER group with them. They are guaranteed to be absolute wingnuts.

You will never be able to combat this problem in a game this size. I've seen MUDs with less than 2k people struggle to fight this issue.

The Laurelin RP server for LOTRO manages to keep on top of the problem with a reporting system combined with a (sometimes over-zealously applied) GM automatic rename policy if people have reprted an inappropriate name. Of course Turbine being Turbine you then had to buy a rename token from their store if you didn't like the name you'd been given.
