Does detect life stack?

Post » Sat May 01, 2010 12:28 pm

I found a light armor helm that had detect life on it, long range. It was pretty good, since i knew when i was gona meet enemies and such, but since it was light i sold it, thinking i could just enchant a helm of my own. Sadly the effect gained from a grand soul gem was just 20, which i dont think would help me much.. Is it possible to enchant both a neclace and a helm and thus gaining 40?

What enchantments are good for armor? I have enchanted some with shield so i have a pretty high armor value number.

Yes, detect life stacks from all sources, making it pretty easy to get some nice range.

The best detect life items to enchant with are the higher level sigil stones. They go up to 180 feet for one transcendent sigil.

Does detect life also let you detect undead creatures?

Having a Detect Life range which is very far can be more in the way than helpful, as you′ll see foes that are not even near enough to cause any danger at all.

Really fun thing to do, but will create not-quite-massive lag:

1. Sneak into Rockmilk Cave. Stay near the entrance in the shadows.
2. Wear all Detect Life gear, cast all DL spells, drink all DL potions
3. Watch all the battles on every level unfold, in pink characters, killing each other.
