That there IS a jail in Winterhold, and it's an ice cave in the area where Septimus Signus' outpost is. Inside is a frost atronach and if you leave, there's three frost atronachs waiting for you. Apparently the cave is called The Chill. Never been sent there, though, just found it and looked it up.

Scary stuff.

P.S. It doesn't officially have a map marker, though, but I have one now props to USKP.

Before USKP added in that marker, I had a mod that marked the unmarked places in Skyrim (Like shrines and POIs). When I saw a marker for "The Chill" I was like "Wat?". Boy, that was a cool discovery! no pun intended

Gonna have to readjust myself a bit though because all DB spawn codes now start with 07 instead of 04, lol. Gonna have to edit my bat files to the proper load order now

I found that out a few months ago...after spending two years with this game.

One can only imagine what more undiscovered stuff lies out there in the frozen landscape...

I haven't seen it yet, though I want to. The concept reminds me of the Ice Palace of Arena. Brrrr...
