Best Graphics Settings for my PC

Post » Sun Feb 16, 2014 5:54 am

Hello all

I got Skyrim on PC recently and I need help with the settings, I want to make it look as good as I can.
The recommended settings are that I run it on low, running it on low gives me around 30-35 fps. However, when I push it up to medium, I still get around 29-34 fps but I have to turn anti-aliasing off.
But then when I push it up to high, I only get 19-25 fps. (again, with anti-aliasing off) So I was wondering what you guys on here would recommend for me to do. I want to tweak the advanced options to get it looking as good as I can without affecting the performance too much. And I am relatively new to PC gaming as I only recently got a PC that was good enough to run games, so I don't know all the ins and outs of stuff yet!

My PC has and Intel core i5 processor 2.80 GHz, 6gb RAM and Intel HD graphics 2500. I feel like it it the graphics card that isn't very good, but like I said I'm new to PC gaming so I don't know what's good and what isn't!
Any help would be greatly appreciated! :)

i would stick with the recommended settings. Intel HD Graphics aren't for gaming technically choose low settings then go to advanced tab and increase the texture Quality to medium you will still get good FPS with medium quality texture details this was my settings when i was playing this game on my laptop with intel HD 3000 also try limiting you in game fps to 36 through some 3rd party tools like fps limiter or msi afterburner it will remove stuttering.

Well, with that GPU you have not much choices i thing. !!!!!!

I would keep my fps as high as possible. You will need them, if you are midst of a fight.

You can lower your distant object detail (skyrim -> skyrim options -> Advanced -> View Distance)

or you could disable the shadows completely (skyrim -> skyrim options -> Advanced -> Detail -> Shadow detail) (that would give you a good fps boost)

-------------

Disable your Vsync too, and see how the game behaves with that change. !!!!
