Female Argonians are not, how you say, attractive... unless I was into that reptile fetish.

I don't know where that reference to changing gender comes from, but sure, why not? It sounds very much like something Argonians could do, they're a weird and mysterious folk. I'd probably refrain from giving players this ability for the simple reason that people playing other races would feel left out, but just seeing it mentioned in the game would be great.

The Hist wish them to be mammalian, so they are. One theory is that Argonians who leave Black Marsh take on a more human appearance so they seem more familiar to other races. It's the same with eggs, Argonians can lay eggs or be born alive (ovoviviparous, to be exact) - again, the assumption is that stable communities in warm climates can lay and protect eggs, but it's usually impractical outside Black Marsh. TES books (Infernal City and Lord of Souls) tell a lot about Argonian society, give them a read if you have a chance.

As I recall they changed genders and became the one that fits them best on their naming day, the day they first lick a hist tree, which happens when they're about to go into teenagehood, I think.

I don't recall them being able to do so after that day.

All our Argonian players are advlts and named already, so I don't think they could change their genders...

As you stated it is not known for sure, and it would take alot to accomplish that for the devs

Though if it were in the game I would give it a try for sure, looking at your char transforming would be awesome

Argonians' genders are sometimes referred to as life-phases, implying they may be able to change gender. However, this is unconfirmed, and Argonian hatchlings may be of either gender.

A three pronged hyphenated drag name has not yet occurred to me.

But I'll watch some RuPaul for inspiration and see what I can come up with.

Before their naming day, what names do they use?

From a lore perspective, I always thought the hist sap 'locked' their gender....but if they want to switch, why not? I just wonder HOW it would be implemented....like, I leave for 5 min, come back, and see that my character is of the opposite gender! WTF! (especially if the player never knew of that particular feature). Now if it was a quest or item, maybe.

But would they actually have the gall to do it? Hmmm....

The most immersion-ruining thing is a gender changed character in a clown suit named "Lord Lady".

Argonians don't change their gender. That is weird.

Honestly, i don't see why you would want to, or what would be the point? I don't see the use of having a female character over a male character other than the look of it... It is nice to watch my Dark elf in her tight leathers run around in third person.... Giggty

Since it's "gender" change, not "six" change, I'm going to go ahead and say that you can. Gender is social; six is biological.

It is not limited to Argonians.
