I've stumbled a thread regarding the feature of changing faction at this level. Since you could basically do quests of another faction when you hit level 50, it's as if you are in another faction. I'm just making sure if it's in the game, because I heard it from an unofficial source.

The only thing that is exclusive is the Imperial Race then if this is true. Now, if it's also unlockable like Scion from Path of Exile....

i was under the impression that with the collectors edition we would be forced to make the faction / alliance decision upon immediate when we make the character, and not allowed to enter tamriel unless we had made a decision on that characters alliance choice.

I believe after level 50, you will be allowed to play through scaled-up versions of the other factions' PvE content. That's not really the same as actually joining the other factions, especially in Cyrodiil.

Its not exclusive.

At level50 you can go into the territories of other factions no matter what you buy.

Although, Im not sure about doing quests...I've heard it said that you can quest, but I cannot remember if I read a statement on it from the developers.

I'd rather create a new character then unless I wanted to get the achievements (which I'm sure I'll do). In the end, the race change is really exclusive to those who pre-ordered.

ZOS hasn't said that level 50 players venturing into the territory of other factions will have to join the faction. I think you won't be able to see othe other faction's non-npc players anyway because it will be like you are in a separate instance of the entire zone. You might be able to see the other faction's level 50 questers but not the native level 50s. So if you are playing a Nord in the EB and reached level 50, you could go to Daggerfall in DC territory to do DC quests. You wouldn't see any DC players but might see level 50 AD questers.

Good info. If this is true, roleplaying at higher levels is actually possible unless more than 50% turned level 50 already and decided to get the quests also.

no that`s how it works:

let`s say you are a Nord so ur with EB u reach level 50 then you can choose to either go to AD or DC territory there u will hve to complete te same quests but i guess your enemies are stronger than normal and quest are much more challenging we call it 50+ zone. but once in the foreign territory u can only see NPCs and the players of ur own faction only. and then when u are done u go to the territory of the last alliances for 50++ quests

I hope ZOS finds a way to allow native faction players who are leveling to be visible by other faction level 50s. Questing with other real players around even if you don't interact with them is a much different mmo experience than questing with only npcs visible.

u DO see other real ppl. only they belong to your own faction rather than the native one. they are lvl 50players like you.
