The Badlands Project by Francois Lachon

Jill listened as Sara and Ben came to agreement on allying. She wasn't sure what this meant for her, but she would need to stick closer to Sara now. Sara told her to follow her to her vertibird.

As Jill walked with Sara over the bleak landscape, she asked, "Why did you side with them if they are your enemy?"

It was beyond Jill why a person would side with their enemy.

Before Sara could give her an answer she asked more questions, "What is Lyon's Pride? Those other Brotherhood members had that label on their armor, and what IS that armor? And what is that thing called Cain?"

As the two walked Jill awaited an answer from her machine gun fire of questions. Living with Raiders for a year had not exposed her to much of the wasteland's local figures.

Sara continued walking towards the vertibird. She had to absorb the barrage of questions that came from Jill. Once they had arrived and Sara was sure the others couldn't hear them she began to speak.

"I haven't sided with them." Sara had a serious look on her face. "Unfortunately right now the Enclave doesn't have much of a choice. We just don't have the resources to combat the Ninety -Nine." She paused for a second and the smile returned to her face. "I guess you could say it is a marriage of convenience." It was the first real truth that Sara had told. The Enclave was crippled thanks to the Brotherhood of Steel and if there was going to be a fight, the Enclave needed help.

"As for the Lyons' Pride." Sara showed a small amount of displeasure when she said these words. "Think of them as the Brotherhood Elite. They are the best that the Brotherhood has to offer. The armour they wear is a type of power armour."

Then there was Cain. Sara was afraid of Cain. Mostly because like Jill, it was the first ghoul she had seen. Sara was repulsed by his appearance and found it difficult to hide.

"Cain is a ghoul. The first one I have ever seen. A ghoul is a human who has been exposed to large amounts of radiation but didn't die." Her voice had a clinical tone to it, but was still smiling. "Since you have trusted me with your secret, I am going to tell you one." Sara paused to lower her voice and leaned in closer. "Cain scares me."

Sara stood back and looked into Jill's face. She knew that Jill would need a moment or two to "process" the information.

"I am going to report in to my commander now. You are of course welcome to sit in."

With that, she started walking up the plank into the vertibird.

"Pilot, open a channel to the base." She had a lot to tell the Enclave, and things she needed them to do.

OOC: Wait for me!

Cain

I walked off the vertibird. Fresh air, very enjoyable. Bald Paladin Tristan obviously thought so. "That...thing...smells."

So this is the famous Megaton huh? A place that housed the home of the legendary Wanderer. Well, can't wait to meet him, these days you rarely see a person without an attitude towards good ghouls.

Some how this area was swarming with armored freaks. Yeah, whatever, it is midday. Do those humans know how to break a sweat? I mean, they are in full metal suits...

I look into the distance, where there was actually people interacting with each other, not just standing around, or moving stuff around. Three women, three men, three in Power Armor, all chatting away. One of the women was explaining something, the three in the Power Armor asking questions. And very soon, the two ladies in normal clothing walked off, towards another vertibird, parked ever so conveniently on the ground nearby.

Cain scratched his hairless head. Yeah, well, I guess it is my turn? I saundered towards the big group, staring in their eyes one by one. A young bashful lad, an older blonde female who radiated dignity, a rusty man with Brotherhood holotags, and finally the one in a wonderfully kept power armor, which from the tales he heard from the great Charon, must the the one and only Lone Wanderer.

He clutched the bulk of his gun as his heart beat ever faster. What a man.

Number Twenty-Four

She was surrounded by walls of white, with a ceiling that radiated a warm glow. She had only a short blouse on, and she huddled in the corner. There was a glass panel that served as a window and as the door to an enormous corridor, a hall that stretched for a great distance. Across from her room was another, one that contains another man, dressed similarly, and was slamming his fist on the glass. She couldn't hear anything. THEY will speak to her through the voice emitter in the ceiling, but THEY never allow her to talk back. The glass panel effectively eliminates all noise. So now, as she held her position, there was only silence, a strange and lingering silence that only project her heavy breathing.

THEY, dressed in a dreaded white, opened the glass panel of the room across from her and dragged a yelling man out. How odd is it to see a man scream and hear nothing? He never came back.

Food and water was suspended in a steel plate from above, and she ate eagerly, even though the seemingly delicious cuisine tasted like nothing in her mouth. the last time she returned after she was taken from her room had rendered her taste buds useless. Not that she minded of course, since the food generally looked nice and taste the opposite.

Slowly, by slowly, she was losing herselfl, herself as an identity. She had black silky hair. Now they were white. She had slightly yellowish Oriental tone to her skin. Now they are so pale that it is ghostly. She once had two eyes with iris of ink. Now one is red, the other green. Every time she existed her room and came back, something was different, something was lost. But she held onto one thing and one thing only. Her name.

"I am Yuki." She muttered. "I am Yuki."

Then THEY came for her again. The glass panel slid open. And she got up. there is no use to struggle. Everything she tried was futile. Attempts in the past all ended painfully. Many rows of glass panels they past by, many were emptied. THEY matched her away into a room. There were rooms everyone. This is just another one of them. A few others were waiting, and she saw everything in the room. There were two long ghostly arm hanging from the ceiling delicately with bandages. A needle went into the skin on her tender skin.

"I am Yuki, I am Yuki."

She was led back to her room behind the glass panel. Now she had four arms. It became so different. And she was one step further from her original self. THEY told her to hide her new arms, only to use them in situation of great needs. and THEY said that if she want to use them, drink lots of water.

THEY placed a large gun into her hands, and she pulled the trigger. She had been learning. There are many others. Many many others. Yet many died while they learn. Things happen, especially when the sound of thunder was heard, and blood will always follow. Pandemonium. She hates them. She pulled the trigger again, and a distant target went into oblivion. It was easy. She saw everything. The last target was a live. A human. He yelled, running around. I closed my eyes, and pulled the trigger. There were screams. She hit, but he didn't die. And she was sick of it.

She was among the ranks of many. They put her closer to the bigger, better, and deadlier companions. "From this day onward, you are a family. Look around you, these are your new brothers and sisters." She looked around. She saw everything. "You are the Ninety-Nines, each better than the previous. You are the evolution that humans had wanted from the early days of history. You will be feared and shall rise to stand on top of all. And then, you shall go forth and destroy our enemies once and for all." Then, THEY handed them each a paper.

One of them, in eerie white, gave her a piece of white paper with a stamp on it. It read, Number Twenty Four. And she read it. And ate it. Later, they came to her, and with a inking device, etched the lasting words "24" into the side of her neck. It hurt, but it hurt worse in her heart. Now she was stripped of everything. "I am Yu...I am Number Twenty Four, Number Twenty Four."

Now, the Ninety-Nines would just need to fine the FEV to complete the final step of Apotheosis, the final step to make us above all else.

An explosion in the distance called out to her. Number Twenty Four opened her eyes...no, an eye. The other hurt so bad that she shutted it immediately. What? I...was dreaming...no...my memory...

She laid on her back, eyes closed again, listening to the echos of many cries far far away. No, what had she done? Her right hand had still gripped her precious weapon. She touched her right eye, her aiming eye with her left hand. And placed her hand on the tip of her tongue. Salty. Blood.

OOC: Sorry for being so late! Here I am!

Paladin Trajan had to admit that the Enclave woman was good. She was either telling the truth or a total lie, and he had no idea which. Ideally she would be telling a lie, but she was so convincing. And her words does match the words of the Lone Wanderer. Ninety Nine? Well, Enclave should never be trusted, and he was sure, by her actions, that she had left out something. What it was, he wasn't sure.

If not for the two Sentinels, he might have taken some harsher actions, perhaps even to the extend of torture. But well, assuming she was telling the truth and on the account of Benjamen's words, then they are in big trouble. Ninety Nine of them? That is insane. Lone Wanderer killed one. Well, at least it is down to 98 of them. So when the Enclave woman asked for permission to go ask for reinforcements, he had no choice but to let her go. Then he noticed the other lady. She was a raider? Megaton is indeed a melting pot of everything. It was no wonder than the Lone Wanderer settled here.

Then he turned his attention to the newly arrived vertibird. There are quite an amount of big shots there. Tristan and Cross, they are the highest ranked after Sarah Lyons and her father in the Brotherhood. Then his attention fell on...a ghoul? He knew of such mercenaries, some surprisingly good at combat, but to see one up close and personal, especially just walking out of a BoS vertibird along with Paladin Tristan and Star Paladin Cross...was unthinkable. He snarled. That ghoul was walking towards him, and he didn't like that ghoul's attitude one bit. He was smirking, tapping one of his hands on his armor that had the words "Cain Rules" across it, while the other tightly gripping an assault rifle of some kind, almost as if going to pull it out on the first sight of danger...no, Trajan didn't like it one bit.

He stepped forward. And he approached this abnormal filth in armor. "Hey, you zombie..."

OOC: Cain, you can do whatever, just don't kill him yet.

OOC: Oh thanks, Rosy

Cain

I tapped on my armor the beats to an ancient song. "What a Wonderful World" by my favorite singer Louis Armstrong. I almost wanted to whistle, but my badly contorted lips wouldn't allow that.

The bashful youth stepped up as he notice my grand entrance. He turned to me, his eyes burning, and I knew what was going to happen. Ah, sweet action time. Baby.

"Hey, you zombie..." Those words just left his mouth, when I was already to his side. This boy hadn't seen quite the amount of battles he should have. I grabbed his hands and pulled out my gun. The barrel was long, but even in this range, I just need to put my hand a little behind my head to complete a wonderful headshot.

My fingers curled around the trigger.

"Sorry, boy, but the word "zombie" is just not my taste." I crackled, staring into his eyes, where his fury was replaced with something else.

Number Twenty Four

She entered a state of shock. What is wrong? Her right eye doesn't hurt, but that amount of bleeding does indicate that vicinty suffered a direct blow, probably from her uncoventionaly usage of her rail gun that caused the scope to smash into her head.

The fighting in the distant continued. There were distinct noise of her brother's weapons firing. Number One's railgun and Number Six's Tesla weaponry.

She laid there quietly, her left eye opened, staring at the slightly green atmosphere. A breeze touched her, giving her a warming sensation. Her mind wondered once more to the strange dream...no...reliving of her memories again. That...is something long in the past. For many years she had lived, as a member of the Ninety Nine, shoot when the time comes, marched when they go, ate when they eat. Yet it was all because of the incidents then, when THEY introduced their new identity. who are THEY? and who are we? With that question, she closed her eyes again, listening to the distant noises.
OOC: your turn.

"Hey you, zombie..."
The ghoul was so fast that he didn't finish his sentence.

Trajan's mind drew blank when he saw that the ghoul, obviously named Cain, rushed forth and grabbed his gloved hand, while pulling out his weapon and managed to point at his uncovered head at point blank range. It was all in one move. Only seasoned warriors can accomplish something like this.

"Sorry, boy, but the word "zombie" is just not my taste." A dry laugh escaped Cain's throat. Very disturbing. But Trajan's mind wasn't focused there. It was still in shock.

How in the....Then he saw the trigger being pulled. Somewhere within Paladin Trajan clicked. And he stared into the eyes of the ghoul. He pulled hard, and Cain fell forward. At the same time, shots burst forth in quick burst, deafening at such a close proximity, but completely missed his head as their distance closed rapidly, flinging the shooting arm with a wild aim at the sky. Trajan's other arm grabbed Cain's rifle and launched a kick at his abdomen. The ghoul escaped with a large stride backwards, but due to the fact that Trajan had clamped onto his gun with a BoS Power Armor gloved hand, the ghoul had to release it. And so, he lost his weapon.

Yet there was no stopping. Trajan dropped the rifle and reached to his back, grabbing the handle of the AER 9 laser rifle, while the ghoul did the same, taking hold of something that resembled a sniper rifle. Time was crucial. A shot from either weapon can cause great harm, and at such close range, it is inescapable...so the first one who fires wins...

He was correct. The first one who fires most definitely wins. But it was certainly not him... A force hammered into him, and Trajan lost his gripe on his laser rifle...nor, in fact, Cain, who had his sniper rifle shot off his back, skidding to the dirt covered ground. His eyes opened wide. There: Sarah Lyons had her weapons drawn, Cross with her weapon in the aiming position, Tristan drawing his plasma rifle...but it was not them, the best of the BoS, as well. It was a man, a true hero, seasoned and utmost practiced, standing behind them, with a smoking gun in his hand.

Everyone stared.

Cain
I admit it was a brilliant move. It caught me unexpected, but it was my carelessness. Note to self: never hold the hands of someone wearing Power Armors again. I jumped back as I release my weapon. His power armored kick would probably done me more harm than a bullet. Then he reached for his weapon, and I knew I must do so. It had been quite a long since I had experience something like this.

I made my moves and the armored boy made his. I am sure I am the fast drawer. I saw my victory coming, as the boy was still reaching for the gun The strap broke as a bullet escaped the barrel of my precious sniper, and it flew forth, striking at the laser rifle.

I curled my lips together in genuine surprise as the boy still held onto his rifle, and some air gushed out as I attempted to speak...it came out like a whistle. Nice, so that's how a ghoul can whistle. I can practice later...but this boy, his gripe is indeed astonishingly hard.

And then, it was then that I noticed all the guns drawn and the dramatic silence. Boy how I hate silence.

Number Twenty Four

Distant clashes fade away. It was probably over. Yet she didn't help at all. Moreover, she was hurt, and somewhere around her eye, or her right eye was bleeding. A stream of warm blood rolled down her cheek like a tear would, slowly picking up its pace, and fell on to the ground where she laid.

She flexed her two longer arm's fingers. One of them had somehow dislocated its joint, and burned with fury just down her back. But both of them flexed fine, and she sat up. Reaching behind her back with her long ghostly arms, she touched the place where her arms were connected to her back. Grabbing the base and trying not to scream, she twisted it, and tears flowed down, blurring her vision as a wave of pain washed over her. It took her another few seconds to calm her shivering body.

Huh...I must get up and see what is happening at the building far away. I need to know whether my family is safe.

Benjamin Burnley

He watched the display between the ghoul and the Paladin, instead preferring not to draw his weapon and just watch. He broke the silence moments after it issued, "Well, THAT was interesting! A well trained Paladin bested by a ghoul, well, I must say; this is interesting. Your almost as good as Charon was in his day... Ah, Charon," he said, laughing and shaking his head. Most of the other members were blinking rapidly or just staring, dumbfounded at what he'd just said.

With a quick grin he looked at the newcomer, "Well, it's nice to meet you, I think I've heard of you before! You wouldn't be..." He noticed the writing on his armor, "Well, I'm going to guess your name is Cain eh? Nice to meet you Cain, although if you can help it could you please NOT try to kill my men, they won't appreciate it. Even if you didn't actually intend on killing him," he laughed a little more. Shaking his head he looked at the others.

"God! Lower your weapons, he's here to help isn't he? He's a ghoul, get over it, he just bested one of our Paladin's in combat armor for christ's sake." He shook his head and motioned his hands to emphasise he was telling the truth. A few lowered their weapons while others kept them raised, he sighed, "That's an order." All weapons were quickly lowered after that.

Moving in front of the ghoul he extended his arm, "Welcome to Megaton! Hope you have fun here, just no more beating Brotherhood members if you can help it." He smiled lightly and kept his arm extended.

Cain

For a moment, everyone had their guns out, pointing at me. Not a surprise. I kick the young Paladin's butt. But unfortunately, there are quite a handful of BoS here, and they are not at all happy.

Yet someone stood up. It was the human who I expected to be the Lone Wanderer...who is even younger than the Paladin in front of him. "Well, THAT was interesting! A well trained Paladin bested by a ghoul, well, I must say; this is interesting. Your almost as good as Charon was in his day... Ah, Charon," Well, he mostly certainly mentioned one of my greatest friend's name out there. It was beyond a doubt then.

"Well, it's nice to meet you, I think I've heard of you before! You wouldn't be...Well, I'm going to guess your name is Cain eh? Nice to meet you Cain, although if you can help it could you please NOT try to kill my men, they won't appreciate it. Even if you didn't actually intend on killing him," The Lone Wanderer was laughing. I laughed as well.

"God! Lower your weapons, he's here to help isn't he? He's a ghoul, get over it, he just bested one of our Paladin's in combat armor for christ's sake. That's an order." Then he extended his arm to me. "Welcome to Megaton! Hope you have fun here, just no more beating Brotherhood members if you can help it."

"Ah, it is my pleasure." It was true then. This must be the Lone Wanderer. I broke into smile. It is indeed my pleasure. "Why don't you start with introducing me to everyone here? Starting from this....young Paladin."

Benjamin Burnley

Shaking Cain's hand he grinned and pointed to Trajan, "This is Paladin Trajan, he's one of the newer members here but he's still pretty good. His results for all of his field tests were exceptionally high and he's a very good soldier." With a quick wink at him I pointed to Sarah, "This is Sarah Lyons, head of the Lyon's Pride and Daughter of Elder Lyons of the Brotherood. She's a great soldier with a personality to much, this is the person you DON'T want to cross paths with."

With a wink at her as well she winked back with a small smille, Ben was having fun doing this, "The rest of these soldiers are just members of the Lyons Pride and side guards that are very good at protecting VIP's. Such as, for example, Paladin Glade; our heavy weapons specialist. Oh and a quick tip, don't bother trying to talk to Gallows, he's the quiet one... He ain't gonna talk back to you." Ben broke out into a grin and dropped Cain's hand.

With a quick sigh he looked at the others, "Now, onto the matter of the Enclave, I'm willing to side with them, but I need your support on this. If I managed to wipe out two major Enclave facilities on my own surely I would be the one with the biggest grudge against them? I'm willing to go along with them, they want something more out of this but I'm sure we can work around it." Looking at the others Ben took a quick sigh and looked back at Cain.

Looking at him up and down he quickly said, "Well, Cain, your on our side right? Who do you think we should side with? Air or the Enclave?"

"I am going to report in to my commander now. You are of course welcome to sit in."

The words seemed to bounce off Jill as she began documenting and filing the information Sara had relayed to her. The process involved Jill making a picture of each member of the Pride, along with their emblem, and power armor. Then she began to create a file for the members, which included details such as name, estimated age, height, weight, hair color, eye color, and every minute detail she could gain. Next was Cain, his file was a little different, he was a ghoul after all. It had some of the same details like height and weight, but Jill could not estimate his age, nor what color his hair, or lack-thereof, was.

"I am going to report in to my commander now. You are of course welcome to sit in."

The voice replayed back to her now that she was ready to listen again. She took one step towards the vertibird when she heard the sound of fighting going on. Jill decided to see what was happening. Apparently the ghoul, Cain, and a Paladin, who she knew as Trajan, were in a scuffle. The two were both fighting with the skill of a well trained warrior, Jill took note of this, but the fight was soon ended when the two were disarmed. She frowned that she was not able to anolyze their abilities more, but she had gained some valuable information on power armor. It enhanced the user with not only enhanced protection, but strength too.

Jill felt she would learn nothing else of value from the group and finally headed to Sara's vertibird. It had been a few minutes since Sara had left to talk to her superiors, but when Jill arrived she found her still speaking into the radio. Jill took a seat on one of the sides of the craft, sticking her hands in her coat pocket as she waited patiently for Sara to finish.

Cain

I like short introductions, and the Lone Wanderer got it all right. It was long enough that I got a very good idea of who is who, while short enough that I did not fall asleep. So, it seems like the kid that I just fought was Paladin Trajan. Trajan...isn't that an Emperor's name from long time ago? Whatever, he was looking at the ground with shame.

"Well, Cain, your on our side right? Who do you think we should side with? Air or the Enclave?" The Lone Wanderer ended with that question. Truly, a question that will determine everything.

"Ha." I tapped my fingers on my combat armor. My fingers stroke the etched grooves that I made to it many years ago. "I am only allied with humans who don't call me 'zombie' the first time they meet me." I took a breath, keeping my smile on my face. "So, is that obvious enough?"

Number Twenty Four

Number Twenty Four stood atop a small mount, observing the silence in the air. There was something intermixed with strange nothing, and her ears strained to hear it. What is it? She exhaled forcefully, and spat out the blood that went into her mouth. Her eye was still bleeding, and if she don't see Number 33, the medic of the Ninety Nine soon, she might lose half her sight. She sighed. What is going on?

Then she heard a scream, breaking into the air. It was from the building where her family were staying. It sounded human. Who is that? A raider? A wounded Brotherhood? She couldn't tell, and she forced her only eye to stare into the distant. that's why she didn't notice the shadow that had crept up to her.

Surely, when its pounced from behind, she noticed it, not only because of the sharp growl but the fact that its shadow covered hers entirely. It also meant that it was a large animal, with long slender arms. Number Twenty Four dived, but not before claws, sharpened many times on helpless victims, tore through her back, ripping open her nearly bullet proof dress and her flesh alike. Both her arm flailed as the tendons that held the muscle to her bone snapped in waves of overwhelming pain. A scream escaped her lips and ended abrruptly as she fell face first into the hard barren ground. The creature advance another step, and the earth vibrated lightly. Once again its shadow covered hers, and she could only close her unwounded eye.

Strangely, there were no fear, but only emptiness. The same feeling that arouse when her bullet tore through the man's throat. The same when she pulled her trigger each and every time. But this time it was stronger that ever.

A thought popped up. Wah woo. Number Three did warn me. The Wasteland are not friendly to those who are underdressed to meet. Apparently, her dress was not good enough.

I lost. He bested me. Just as simple as the words that came out of the Lone Wanderer's mouth. He bested me. I stared at the ground. I had my power armor, but yet it didn't help. If the ghoul had shot just one meter higher, I would have a hole in my forehead...or given me a third nostril.

Then some weight was placed on my shoulder. I turned, just to see Sarah's blonde hair dark skin face, smiling. And then I felt warmth radiating gently, something that can be felt through the armor. "You lost, but that is another lesson learnt. Even if I have to match that ghoul, my draw would have been a fraction of a second too late. And you had done well, as even you were caught off guard, you still executed a great move, one that would make some one like my father proud. In fact, I am already proud of you. Just remember, you are a part of teh Lyon's Pride, and we are the best when we are together."

I couldn't stare at Sarah's brilliant smile. Do I deserve it? No. But we are indeed a fraction of a bigger group because we had been through so much together.

"Well, can't have Mr. Cain left standing there with no hospitality given by the Pride." After all, he is the best ghoul I have seen, on par with the Lone Wanderer's companion Charon. I walked towards Cain. He turned and gave me a strange look. His hands tightened on the grip of his gun. I smiled. And probably did the most surprising thing he had ever saw in his life: I bowed. Then I said, offering my hand:

"I am sorry. It was wrong on my part. Well, you had already heard my name, but I haven't properly introduce myself:I am Trajan Lester, age 24, rank Paladin. So, how is your day been?"

Sara walked up the ramp and entered the cockpit of the vertibird. She could hear the commander's voice coming through the speaker.

"We are receiving you Doctor Carter. What do you have to report? Over."

Sara picked up the microphone and pushed the button on the side. It was then that she noticed Jill was still outside.

"I have made contact with the Brotherhood and Benjamin Burnley. This new enemy we are facing call themselves the Ninety-Nine. They possess technology far greater than our own and I regret to say that it appears that an alliance with our enemies may be the best course of action. Over."

Static came from the speaker followed by the commander's voice.

"Please advise on how you wish to proceed. Over"

Sara had to think about this for a moment. Several ideas were floating around in her head. Most of which included a grisly death for the Brotherhood and Benjamin. It was at this moment that Jill entered the vertibird. She smiled at Jill and continued her report.

"The Ninety-Nine are trying to find the location of Vault 87. I would ask that we send troops to form a beachhead outside of Little Lamplight caverns." Sara knew that Vault 87 could be entered through the caverns, and if the Ninety -Nine weren't highly resistant to radiation, it was the path they would have to take. "I would also request that a small contingent be stationed in the vicinity of Vault 87 as a sentry post to keep watch for the Ninety-Nine. Over."

The commander's voice came back over the speaker. "We will dispatch troops immediately as per your request. Is there anything else you require? Over."

Sara pondered this for a moment. She thought of requesting an air strike on the town of Megaton to cleanse its filth from the wasteland.

"I would request that additional medical supplies be sent to my position along with a sample of the FEV virus. I am going to retrieve the body of the one that Benjamin Burnley killed and would like to perform an autopsy to determine any weaknesses. Over"

The radio was silent for a moment. Sara was keeping things fro the Enclave. She felt a small amount of discomfort at this. She had not told them about Jill, or that the Ninety-Nine were headed to the Citadel. She knew what the response be, and felt it better to keep this information to herself.

"Be advised that we will dispatch a vertibird to Megaton ASAP. Once the autopsy is completed, you will report in with your findings. We would ask that you request troops from the Brotherhood to be sent to supplement our own at Vault 87. Over"

Sara spoke into the microphone once again. "Message received and understood. Over and out."

Replacing the microphone in its' holder, Sara turned back to Jill. She took a moment to check the dressing on Jill's wound, which had now completely healed.

"Whatever you do, do not remove this bandage. If someone should notice that your wound has fully healed. Well let's just say it wouldn't be good for either of us." Sara looked at Jill and smiled again. It was an innocent and happy smile. Sara couldn't really be sure if her facial expressions meant anything to Jill, but she went through the motions just the same.

"Come on. Let's go." With that she proceeded back down the ramp. It was time to see if Benjamin had put a leash on his "dogs".

Benjamin Burnley

Taking a quick breath Ben looked at the others, Trajan's act has pretty much calmed them down a fair bit; enough to holster their weapons at least. With a shrug I nodded at Sarah and pointed towards my house, so she knew I would be gone for a while. With a nod back from her I walked my merry way over to my old house; the place where I'd kept some very interesting things over my life. Opening the door I heard the hovering sounds from Wadsworth, my Mister Handy.

"Master! It's been a long while since you've returned home; and in one piece too!" Ben just shook his head and laughed. Moving past the robot he quickly moved up the stairs, taking the first right into his small equipment room. He'd replaced the shelves with a high density locker made of materials made to withstand lots of punishment. Lifting up his pip-boy he swiped it in front of the locker scanner, which made it open up quickly and silently. With a grin he opened it fully.

Sitting inside was his greatest treasure, his most powerful thing he'd ever found in the Wastes; a very experimental piece of tech found in an old facility. He hadn't even told the Brotherhood of this, picking up the weapon carefully he pulled out some of the cells needed to power the goliath thing. As soon as he had a fair few cells in his hand he closed the locker again, then stored the cells in a single compartment on his right arm. Lifting the rifle was a chore, it weighed a fair lot.

His armor was helping him even, taking away most of the brunt; but he knew he wouldn't be able to lift it without the armor supporting him. Hefting it onto his back he heard the magnetic locking sounds to say it was in place, slipping off his plasma rifle he put it into it's holster on the wall. With a quick sigh he turned around and moved out of the room, locking the door behind him. Quickly going down the stairs he nodded at Wadsworth, had a quick look at his bobblehead stand and grinned.

Walking out the door he locked that too, just for safety's sake and took a quick breath of fresh Wasteland air. Moving around the house he moved back to his group, noticing that Sara was coming back; "Well, I hope your all well behaved this time."

Sara and Jill walked back to the group that had gathered in front of Megaton. The members of the Lyons Pride were staring at her. She looked into the face of Trajan and gave a seductive smile and winked at him. Sara walked over to Benajmin and looked into his eye again. She found it hard to look away, seeming to lose herself in the pools of deep blue. She continued to smile and cleared her throat.

"I would like to thank you all for waiting. As you all know the Ninety-Nine represent a clear and presnt dange to all life in the wasteland." The smile disappeared from her face and her tone became more serious. "We have recently learned that they are heading to Vault 87.

"And just how would you know this?" Sarah Lyons interrupted and had a perturbed look on her face.

Claire exhaled deeply. She was hoping that no one would think to ask.

"As you are already aware, an Enclave outpost was attacked earlier today." A small frown appeared on her face and Sara continued. "The Ninety-Nine questioned one of the officers stationed there about the loaction of Vault 87."

Lyons interrupted a second time. "And of course the soldier just volunteered the information!!!"

"Unfortunately no." Sara could see the look of confusion on Lyons' face. "Allow me to explain. Although the Enclave and Brotherhood have had their differnces in the past. Our command structure has changed and we now have a new goal. Helping the people of the wasteland. You must understand that there are still some within our ranks who are still loyal to the ideals of Colonel Autumn and President Eden." Her tone changed to one of remorse. "It seems the officer told the Ninety-Nine that the Brotherhood knew the location of Vault 87 and sent them towards the Citadel." Sara could see the loks of concern on the faces of the group. "I wish you to know that the Enclave does not condone the actions of this officer, and had she not died from her wounds, she would be severely punished for her actions. I have already requested that the Enclave send troops to Little Lamplight caverns and to the area around Vault 87 and we would ask that you send whatever troops you can spare to aid them. I think it best if the Pride return to the Citadel and aid in it`s defense. I would like to take a small team to retreive the body of the one Benjamin killed.`` She was loking at Benjamin now. ``I wish to perform an autopsy on the creature and supplies are on route to aid in this task. Benjamin, I would be honored if you would join me in this. Of course anyone you wish to keep with you will be welcome as well.`` She looked back at Trajan and smiled again.

``If any of you have any other suggestions on how to proceed, I will hear them at this time``

OOC: I would like to apologise for the quotes in my post, There seems to be something wrong with my keyboard. Also wanted to let you know that I will post for Number One as soon as I work everything out.

Guys... I know this is technically Naz's RP, and all that... But I have to say, I think this RP has become pretty pointless, looking at how often people are posting, the gaps, the people left... The fact that when people are on they aren't posting, (This can include myself of course), I've decided to request that this be closed. :( Sorry if you liked this guys.

I concur with Francois. This Rp is a great idea but due to other commitments, people are unable to post. I understand...Life Happens. Down the road I may start this up again. But for now I want to focus my attention on my RP idea and the SCAR RP. At this time I feel I have lost my feel fo this Project. No one is to blame. It just happens. Hope to see everybody down the road.

Now cue the cuddly bear.
