Unofficial JRPG Thread XIII

1. This thread is for discussion about JRPGs. If you are not a fan of JRPGs then this is not the place for you. The thread may also delve into other genres other than JRPGs however, Western RPGs will be considered off topic.

2. Use Spoiler tags when necessary. Although some games you talk about may be a bit older other people may not have played them yet.

3. Above all, follow forum rules. If you are concerned about what you are about to post ask a moderator via PM prior to posting.

So, with less than 2 weeks away till the Tales of Symphonia HD collection is released, I am really wishing I had pre-ordered it earlier, as by the time i put in my pre-order I found out I couldn't get the collectors edition (unless they get some extra in that is)

When it comes to the "JRPGs" my favorites are FF4, FF5, FF6, FF7, Chrono Trigger, Lunar SSSC, Lunar 2 EBC and Xenogears, but after that era the genre lost me at FF8 ,FFX, and Xenosaga. After giving up and losing interest in FFX and Xenosaga I jumped into TES III Morrowind and haven't had interest in the any JRPG since. Not to discredit JRPGs but I feel that anime delivers the same style of content as most JRPGs while offering a deeper level of immersion and originality.
