Botting, wonder what will be done.

Just like any new mmo release it doesn't like long for gold farmers/botters to show up. As well as account hackers.. Personally I'd like to bound my account to my IP but I know that wont work with everyone.

I haven't seen any official information about the measures that will be happening to keep the botters at bay and not ruin the game economy after the 1st month of release.

I'm glad they aren't putting a open AH like in most mmo's but there will still be sites where you can buy gold

Im more worried about account hackers, seeing how last beta when i started a guild it used my login name.

botters, hmm i dunno if youi tag a mob you get loot so i dont see a big deal with bots.

Gold spammers will be included but not as heavily as in a f2p game due to the game costing 60$ OHHh also 15 month fee.... this also makes me worried about how these chinese gold farmers then will try to join alliance's find peoples logins and start trying to crack their passwords, so they can spam with the hacked account.

In fight club, one does not talk about fight club.

ESO's FPS'ish design should make botting more complicated.

A program can't just 'tab' to the next target and start an optimal rotation based on cooldowns.

A program would also have much more difficulty responding appropriately to purely visual cues like enemies preparing special attacks. It would have to hack directly into the data being received from the server. So theoretically do-able at least. But that may also make bot programs easier for the client to detect.

Healing is the only thing that wouldn't be hard for bots. It'd probably be easier than most games since they're mostly aoes and the individual heals auto-target.

Yes I also don't understand the need to show your account in guild chats, at first login, make a window pop up asking your account name to be used for these type of chats, giving them 30% of a job done by finding out an account name shouldn't happen at all..
