Title says it all. Should have just dropped the extra $20 to start with.

Yes. You can upgrade your standard edition to imperial.

Here is a quote from The Elder Scrolls Online Support page.

"Starting April 4th, 2014 all customers who pre-purchased the Digital Standard Edition can upgrade to the Digital Imperial Edition by visiting The Elder Scrolls Online Store (https://store.elderscrollsonline.com). This will allow them to receive the exclusive collection of in-game rewards available from the Digital Imperial Edition. This upgrade service will be available from April 4th, 2014. If players have purchased a physical copy of the Standard Edition but wish to upgrade to the Digital Imperial Edition, our upgrade service is there to help you do so. Players who pre-ordered a physical edition at a retailer should contact that retailer to discuss changing their pre-order."

Odd that I have to wait until after April 4, given that I will be in early access for 5 days prior. But I can live with that. The risk they take, of course, is that after 5 days I might find I'm fine without spending another $40 for me and my wife to upgrade.

Thanks!

Now this is purely me talking but considering that your playing with your wife - I would say 40$ well spent because you get the rings ;)

Or you can just cancel it and get the Imperial Edition.

I would gladly cancel and get the Imperial if I wasn't so paranoid that cancelling is going to screw me up somehow. I remember in SWTOR that that date people got into early access depended on the date stamp of their preorder, and there were people who only got in one day early instead of five. That's one reason I bought mine as soon as they went on sale. I don't think it's going to work that way here, but I could imagine having both my orders cancelled "by mistake" or something. I'll probably just hold on to what I have.

Thanks for the suggestions.
