Looking forward to the game...

Hey all... your local influenza here... /cough

I got into the beta this weekend.. but for some reason unable to play.. technical difficulties.

Just wanted to mention I am a fan of Skyrim, and kept saying to myself "wish there was an online version of skyrim"..... and now it has been in the works. All the videos from ESO, and from the game play from other people playing the Beta... really keeps me wanting MORE... the graphics look amazing... It sure will be an adventure to enjoy....

There is a lot of questions I am going to also look forward to learning the answers to... but i'm sure those will be in time.

One last thing... seeing how it is going to be 3 alliances... and all fighting in that center area to claim keeps and what not.... Sure does make

me think back of my first MMORPG... DAOC(dark age of camelot).... if any of you remember this game (sloth from iseult)... Loved the PVP part, and going to be interesting to see if it will be similar.

Just also wanted to thank the developers, the graphics people and all involved in making such a game happen when I have been looking forward for such a game....

You're going to jump out of your chair and hump the bed while eating an entire tub of ice cream and shoot pleasure lasers at everything.

I lost a decade of my life to DAOC and after playing the ESO beta I expect to lose another decade. I willing give my soul to such gaming masterpieces. You wont be disappointed.

"Pleasure lasers"? Is that what the kids are calling it?

But yeah, several of the ESO devs are from DAOC; it's one of the primary sources of ideas, particularly for the PvP.

What would you have me call it?

Anyhow, anyone else DYING to play this game, and all the other games you're playing (I've quite a few.) Just aren't doing it right now. Need my fix man.

Yes.. loved the DAOC style PVP... taking keeps and going for relics... talk about memories.. waking up 4am on a Saturday morning to do a relic raid.. 150-300 raiders give or take.. .JUST to do a raid... "cloaks off cloaks off" to help reduce lag...

The videos of ESO... making me wish they have another Beta test... may quench my gaming needs for that type of game...

If you know of some really good videos.. and they are ok to post/view from here.. please share.. i'd love to see more game footage since I wasn't able to see first hand...

I am still playing WoW... but that has dropped a lot after I got back into the game after a 2.5 year haitus... And was in the WoW Beta 2004 till jan 2010... then came back for an expansion(played only 2 months).. and then came back July 2013... and playing since...

I've been Influenza/Influensa and Sloth in most games....

Videos are pointless atm most reviewers didnt even get to lvl 10 and didnt try the pvp.

If they tried it they would have whined about having to walk too much.

I wish you were online this weekend because it was beautiful.

A huge zerg, mind you, but a beautiful happy zerg!

I would have loved to get a few hours to see things with my own eyes... I'm sure the huge zerg may have been a bit of a stress test too... I've seen some things about a megaserver??? I liked the theory behind it... will have to investigate it further before another beta or release...

I'm also going to try and get a collectors edition...

i've usually been playing a Rogue in WoW, or Infiltrator sorts in DAOC... sneak sneak kill kill... but also like the plate wearers too.. running into a bunch.. hoping my healers got my back! lol

While I played Skyrim... I actually enjoyed just running around killing some mobs JUST to see the top of some mountains and travelling around to see the different areas....

But was missing the MMO part.... and the DAOC style PVP I hope it's similar, and not so much a bottleneck kind... loved open world PVP... evenly matched groups... sometimes zergs to help take keeps/key areas...

In mass PvP, anything can happen at anytime. <_< Suddenly there's a mega-wave of enemies, the next minute they've changed locations and you take the city and slay the stragglers with a small elite group. o_o

I think the "server list" (for PC/Mac) consists of US or EU. That's it. Pick the one that is either nearerst to you, or where most of your friends will be.

I hope there is a list... so not just myself but other people can start getting ready with their guild, and recruitment processes to find a good server...

But then.. some servers will fill up fast, and some don't want the packed servers... and some may want a RP server... etc... so some information in due time will be helpful for the whole.

And yeah.. servers closest will always be optimal for some..

No no - please do some research (for your own sake, so you know what to expect). We are on megaservers - the choice is US or EU. There is no list. There are no separate servers beyond those 2 megaservers. I'm being completely serious. Your choice is US or EU. You will be placed in instances with guildmates, people on your friends list, and people you have grouped with, (and it's recently been reconfirmed that there will be a questionnaire about your gaming preferences so RP players will be more likely to be in the same instance as other RPers, to use an example) but you won't get to look through a long list and choose a particular server, and it won't be a case of servers filling up or being empty - the tech infrastructure of this game does NOT work like that, so best put that idea out of your head.
