Has any one else had a family member steal from them or try

to (bethesda should increase the character limit by at least 5 words)

because my 12 year old cousin tried to steal from me

at 1st he was trying to bull [censored] and act like he didn't know what I was talking about
then he said he may of "accidentally" packed it in with his stuff
I did get what he took back but when he handed it to me it was folded up wrong (the item being a blue print map for GTA) didnt think much of it at the time
when he handed it back to me he said he didn't damage it at all and my mom and I were in a rush to get home and didn't really have time to deal with this so we left for home
so few minutes ago I pulled out the map to look it over
large hole in the top looks like a nail was forced through it and little bit torn from its own weight probably fell off what ever my cousin tried to hang it on so the border of the entire thing is ripped up in a way that im only going to assume was where he taped it up ...
im not really sure what to do about this and he is only 12 so as much as my cousin probably deserves to be punched across the face I really don't think that would be the right course of action
has any one else had family members steal from you?

Yes, I suppose you can say I am growing in a less than desirable environment.

I let my brother borrow forty dollars from me 3 years ago.

Still haven't gotten that money back. :stare:

You know, if you just removed the last two words so it said, "Has any one else had a family member steal from them?" it would have been fine.

You didn't need more space for the title, it could be something as short as "Thieving kin".

As for the topic itself, I've had my little brother attempt to take things from my room, but when he was younger I'd usually have something on loan for him so I could punish him by taking it back if he did something wrong. So I'd lend him object A in good will, then if he'd steal object B, he'd lose both objects A and B and just be poorer for it.

He'd always learn his lesson for a little while but he'd need a reminder every now and then.

I've had stuff stolen from me. What could I do? They're higher up on the family tree than me, and I'm just a child. Obviously they needed it more than I did. What does a kid need with hundreds of dollars?

ha he's 12, it's much more messed up when you're a teen still living in moms nest and she steals from you....it still bothers me as a man today as she left a permanent bad taste in my mouth.

Sister stole a lot from me when she was in High School, and also played a large part in creating a divide between myself and my parents (though they are mostly responsible) that has never, and probably will never fully heal.

So yes. Fact of life is that you will meet terrible people not worth being around, and they may very well be your family. Doesn't exclude them from my "Forget them and move on" rule.

Pokemon.

Let's see.

Mom stole from me when I lived in the house, I would work my [censored] off in a gas station to have her use every single bit of my check, if I spend something from it, I understood helping around the house, but that was a bit too far..

I loan my dad 200$ a year ago, have yet to see it back.

my mom took my watch away once so she'd have something to give me for my graduation. it was a classic wind up watch, she didn't take care of it so it was broken when she gave it back.

I don't lower my guard around anyone (Even "family" ) so it's hard to steal from me.

I have had a video game stolen from me once though. My cousin an I had a nice.....chat afterward.

My grandmother has always sent the majority of her money to family members back home in PNG. They think because she lives in Australia she must be a millionaire, but she really isn't that well off. My grandfather on the other side of the family has also had vast amounts of money stolen from him. It's very hard to see some of the best people ripped off by people who couldn't care less about them, and it's something that I won't let happen to me.

When I was about 11 or 12, one of my Uncles came over with his wife and three kids over to my parents house. They(the kids, who were older then me iirc, by about 3-4 years) took 70 dollars out of a drawer in my room(the money was hidden in the back of it, they didn't just "find it" they were looking for something to steal), and took all the quarters out of the Slot Machine my parents had(about 30-40 bucks worth). For some reason my parents didn't confront my Uncle and them over it, and when I tried several years later, my cousins laughed at me and denied it, saying I couldn't prove it anyways.

Oh well, I got last laugh, both of them are in jail now for other [censored], stupid morons.

I've had dozens of highlighters and other stationary supplies disappear over the years, and the occasional CD go missing for a couple of months on 'holiday' before returning looking like it got into a bar fight while on said holiday, but nothing serious.

Alternatively, you could do what the rest of us at BGSF and indeed, the whole internet do and not put your whole question as your thread title.
