Hello, I need help.

I feel like I made a mistake and I'm having trouble rectifying it. See, I bought what appears to be a UK version of "Morrowind: GOTY Edition"(I live in the US but the game runs anyway.) I wanted to mod it using the ever popular "Overhaul Mod" MGSO_3.0_Final. So I did a "fresh Install" and tried to begin the process of installing the mod, but the program that streamlines the mods installation(MOInstaller) said that my version of the game was 1.2.0.722, not at v1.6.1820(the latest version)
Somehow I got info that the (1.6.1820) update was included in the Bloodmoon expansion. For some reason, it seemed the "Tribunal" and "Bloodmoon" expansions were not installed and now looking back, I hadn't installed them, because every time I tried to the only option I was given upon clicking them were "PLAY". It wasn't giving me the option to click "install" on T&B like I was able to do with Morrowind beforehand.
So again, I managed to somehow get info that "Morrowind GOTY Edition" didn't run well under "C:\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Morrowind" and that I should try relocating it to "C:\Bethesda Softworks\Morrowind". I wasn't sure if the forum I got the info off of really applied to me but after I moved Morrowind and files to a new location closer to "C:\", I was at last given the option to install Tribunal and Bloodmoon.... but I didn't get really far after that. Upon testing Morrowind to see it would run I got this warning message...
Chunk size 10 too big in chunk WEAT_ID in form REGN_ID.
Max size is 8, data truncated to "#
".
......
I got plenty more error messages. Not only that, but now there were two locations where the Morrowind exe. and files were located at.
"C:\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Morrowind" and
"C:\Bethesda Softworks\Morrowind"
Thinking I could rectify this, I tried to uninstall Morrowind in hopes that next time I would install Morrowind under "C:\Bethesda Softworks\Morrowind", but every time I try to uninstall it under "Control Panel\Programs\Programs and Features" it does nothing.

Please help. This stuff is way over my head.
My DirectX should be 8.1, which came with the game. and I'm running Vista.

That usually indicated wrong install order. You have to install Morrowind > Tribunal > Bloodmoon in that exact order. Reinstalling Bloodmoon should help.
