Sorcerer Dual Wield

Post » Tue Feb 18, 2014 7:46 pm

The beauty of Elder Scrolls is being able to create whatever class you want with whatever weapons and gear, and any race. I'm leaning towards a sorcerer with dual wield blades and medium armour. I'm not sure how well this is going to play out, but I do know that I don't want to make it 10+ levels in and then decide to re roll another toon. I do that too often in mmos and hate it. What do you guys think about this character, think it will be efficient dps? And what class/weapon/armour combos are you going with? See you in Tamriel!

I think it will work quite well. you could cc the enemy with magicka then hit them hard with stamina abilities from dual wield tree.

I tried that combo out myself, just with heavy armor instead of medium. But i found myself swapping to cloth armor, because it's more wizardous and apparently the classes of armor are only artificial. I.E. the armor rating is the same no matter what armor class you pick, cloth, leather or plate. But ofc i only played to level 12, so i don't know if that's how it scales at higher levels.

Regarding the combo with dual wield and being a sorcerer itself. I found it pretty hard to do any damage at all with the weapons, i think it's more convenient going for a core build, i.e full cloth armor with mage stats that supports your spells etc.

So yea thats just what i experienced during the beta, don't know if other people had different experiences. :)

Quite similar to what I'm going for. A class loosely based on Thor (god not marvel character). So Nord, duel wield with lightning spells. Good thing about ESO is I can create builds that I've never been able to before in an mmo.

It does provide more armour when you are comparing armour of the same level and quality.

I think passives will make the big difference between armors so at the end heavy armor will give you more protection than lighter armors. At lvl 12 you don't have all passive skills unlocked so you can't see big difference between armors.
