The NCR Conventions Interest checkOOC

Post » Wed Feb 19, 2014 7:38 am

After Mr. House's schemes in the Mojave drove the NCR's forces back to their homes just as it did to the forces of Caesar's Legion, the Republic has been in a state of turmoil. With president Aaron Kimball being cast down from his position alongside with general Oliver due to the Mojave campaign, and the vice-president William Slater for his part in persuading Kimball to the Baja campaign for no actual gain, there is a great political empty hole in the heart of the government, as the Republic council consists of people from good backgrounds rather than skills in diplomacy, so the government is practically entirely in the Congress' hands.

As a quick solution to the power vacuum the Congress has called for an emergency meeting, were they gather to choose a new president by themselves, rather than by a public vote, each representative of a state voting for his state and the person gathering the most votes from the representatives would serve as president by a new law which allows bypassing public voting when the Republic faces dire circumstances, like these economical and political after the Mojave war.

Now as the meeting unfolds, the direction of New California Republic will be seen, be it a difficult climb back to a steady society under a new president, or a civil war, should the Congress fail in its quest to find a quick solution.

The main idea for this RP is to follow the evolving of the NCR in whatever direction, with you RP'ing as an important political player, be it a general, a state representative in your own right or as a puppet of some other, or even as a wealthy brahmin baron. Some other character types which could hold influence, such as Mr. House's emissary can be allowed if interested takers are present. But, the Congress' senate house needs to be fully manned, so it will be possible to play multiple characters, even necessary, if many want to play as a military general or a representative of some state rather than a senator for example. For this purpose I hope that if there's not enough people to play as state senators only, the ones who want to be something else would hold some senator as a puppet for his "true" characters agenda.

So, the state representative seats which need to be filled are the following: Arroyo, Boneyard, Dayglow, The Hub, Klamath, Maxson, Redding, Shady Sands(I will be filling this senator seat personally) and Vault City

Also, if some is willing to act as a co-GM for this, I wouldn't mind a helping hand. And as always, criticism, suggestions and such are welcome.

Please read the Fallout Wiki's http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/New_California_Republic for more detailed info about states and the NCR as whole.
