Please ease up on the thread-locking. I just spent well over an hour writing and editing a polite, balanced response to a long and interesting post, then hit the 'post' button only to find that the thread had been locked while I was writing.

The community here seems very mature and I'm sure most of us can decide whether or not we want to continue reading a thread, or even look at it in the first place.

Although we can make mistakes, we usually have a very good reason to lock a thread.

If you have questions about why a thread was locked, feel free to PM a moderator about it and we will be happy to discuss it with you.
But we don't allow threads on how and why we moderate the forum.
