In tents training

Is intense training worth it in this game, especially to take a crapload of it? Just wondering. One of my friends, both in this game and Fallout 3, always takes the maximum amount. When I found out he took it 10 times, I nearly gagged. That's twenty levels of perks, all for SPECIAL points!

I don't know about 10, but I usually take it 2-3 times.

I prefer to get my luck up before I go to Vegas.

They aren't really worth it in New vegas. It's fine to take one or two if you can't get a better perk, but most of the time (Except level 2) there are better perks to pick. You already get so high special stats with implants and gear, there really is no use to take Intense training. Would also like to point out that the difference in most stats between 8 and 10 is minimal at best. The only special i would bring over 8 is luck and endurance.

They were great in Fallout 3 because you got so many perks that at the end of the day you didn't know what to do with them all.

I do it if I can't see any other decent perks available, but it's not really worth it apart from that; the boosts to stats don't really mean that much other than qualifying for other perks.

Some people use Intense Training to avoid Perks that would make them uber powerful. Until you get up in levels, most Perks do give a significant boost to something, and the Perks that are more for Role and do not offer much in the way of power are usually only available later on.
