So, I'm playing a devout follower of the Temple and honorable member of The Great House Redoran. Went to get a construction contract from Duke Dren, and saw a couple of gentlemen standing nearby. I'm a polite sort of role-player and chat it up with both of them - one has a quest. Nice, nice... The other has the topic "duel" which I don't often see, so I asked him about his opinion on duels. He's from away, and assumes I'm challenging him to one - outlanders, right?
I ignore him and go about my business. Eventually, one of my patrons asks me to help a Redoran Noble remember his courage and fight his own duel in the Arena as honor demands. I convince him to prove his worth to our mighty House and he agrees. I go to watch and add my support. The insane imperial fights me, and I lay him low. Because all see my great worth, I am drafted into the Legion. Afterwards, I watch the Redoran Noble fight his own battle (not very well, but it isn't sporting to help someone fight a duel).
After advancing in the ranks of the Temple and my great house, I role-play that the Arch-cannon asked me to find out what the Blades wanted with me (double-agent!)... Fast forward to being sent to the Sixth House Base near Gnaar Mok, Caius asks I hit Fort Buckmoth and ask about the person who was afflicted with Corprus. Dutifully, I go, clad in the Ebony Mail and bearing Veloth's Judgement. And no one will effing talk to me because I'm not in uniform.
So, just wondering how to console quit the Legion, since I never meant to join, have no interest in ever joining with this particular character. But I would like to roleplay talking to the folks at Buckmoth, because apparently I'm weird. I found a command for getting expelled - would that work? Any repercussions that I may not foresee?
TL;DR: Killing a homicidal duelist drafted me into the Legion. I want out, by any means necessary.
