Saw something that made me believe the official forums for ESO will be launching soon!

We have forum upgrades scheduled for the week of Feb. 17, and this may occasionally require that the forums be taken down for maintenance. Thank you for your patience while we bring these improvements online!

While this may mean nothing, I find it likely that these "upgrades" are preparing the forums for official public launch. Thoughts?

Still wont be available to the general public.

Youll need to be in the beta, or a subscriber after the launch to use them.

Launching soon? as opposed to Launching 04-04-2014 ? nice catch on forums though .. hmm ..

That message has been up there for nearly a week or thereabouts, not new info, sorry!

Obviously it's been up there for a bit. There's just not been any discussion about it previously here, and we have nothing better to do than speculate

There has been discussion about it (there was a thread that ran to several pages about splitting the forum into sub forums where the message and possible indication of imminent move to the official forum was discussed) - just with everything lumped in on one forum, threads from a few days ago are probably on page 30 by now Which was kind of the point of the thread.

Not a criticism btw, with things as they are at the moment it is very hard to keep track of what was discussed just a few hours ago, let alone over the last week

Ha love it. Speculation is rife in all areas. That's all I do, idle minds and work doesn't restrain/contain me. Love being excited, like a kid at Xmas.

I know what you mean, just looking for any small sign of new forum or the next beta and speculating about it, I'm certainly guilty of that. Keeps us off the streets I suppose

Ha! A surprise beta would be epic. I'd wake up tomorrow to a beta invite in my inbox and rejoice with excitement. Too bad that never happens

Cool, looks like they might actually do what they should have done over a year ago.

I won't be signing up until I have my character name sorted, as I plan to use the same name on the forums and am paranoid as poo.

Do you remember how all the aliens were being evicted from district 9?
