I have an expensive collectible keyboard (people really do collect them! It's an IBM Model M SSK, for the record) but I'm much too lazy to have any sort of OCD tendencies and only clean it under duress, such as when it's scruffy enough to offend my delicate sensibilities. I do wash my hands many times during the day, but I am quite careless with the enormous mugs of coffee I drink regularly and I often eat at my desk, and as often quite messily.
My computer I should also take more care of: it's sitting on the floor, with a side panel off because the fans keep breaking (why are fans always chronically unreliable? Even good brands seem to seize up in no time) and is consequently full of dust. My attempts to keep the cables tidy also came to nothing thanks to frequent bouts of irritated tinkering to keep it running.
