Most versatile class?

Post » Fri Feb 21, 2014 2:05 pm

I know this question is hard. I have yet to play beta. Waiting for ps4. Anyway im having trouble choosing a class. I would make a few characters but im only gonna have time to focus on one, that said i need input.

I know i want to avoid tanking and play a dps. Ranged with my secondary weapon as melee backup. So what would you say if you had to choose is a class that can do a little of everything?

Also did you feel kinda like i did and then play the beta and finally decide on a class?

Templar is the most versatile hands down. They are great at dps, the best healer, and can also tank well. They have great ranged dps abilities and great melee dps abilities.

Really the only thing Templar can't do is CC effectively.

All classes have their own perks. I believe it will be up to the player's ability how versatile the character will be.

Last time I saw a Nightblade on the videos. It was a lvl 30-ish nightblade wielding bow+2h mace. It looked pretty affective.

Mostly agreed. Although Templars do have a 5m knockback, 40% snare, 3 sec stun, 6 sec disorient, another stun from Nova Ultimate and another stun from the Spear Shards Morph. So it's not that they cannot cc effectively. The question remains if all those abilities fit together.

On paper it's a Templar. But I bet after release you'll see how versatile players can make each of the classes. Can already see that a lot of players (including myself) are going to try things such as Nightblade Tanks, DK Healers etc. That's the beauty of this game, be what you want to be.
