Text when playing on tv

Hello,

My wife has agreed to play this game with me on our dual 52" HDTV we have hung on a wall side by side. She's wanting to play the xbox1 version whereas I'm pushing for PC because I like mods. I think a big determining factor for her is she's concerned that playing from the couch on PC will make it hard to read the quests, items, books, menus, etc. we'd be playing at 1080p. Does anyone have experience from the beta with a tv-couch setup and did you find it a bit small to read? Anyone know if the menus have a size scaling function or if a mod could possibly even address this if it's an issue?

Thanks in advance for your replies!

I don't have any specific information about that but I'm pretty confident that mods will be able to handle that.

Yes I know, I'm trying to convince her to play on PC but she's worried that she won't be able to read things easily :)

Connect the pc's to the tv. I have mine connected to a 42" so when I feel like it I switch to the tv and sit on the couch. Never really had problems reading anything.

With an HDMI cable and an x-box controller any PC can do the console job... and do it better :P

It is an interface re-size slider under settings. Did not tested it myself but guess it should work. If not it require some simple UI mods.

Plenty of people want this.

During the beta, I found it somewhat difficult to hit the 1-5 keys while moving. (I also kept screwing up E and 3).

After reading this thread, I am going to try to see if I can connect my 360 controller to my pc.

What kind of button layout would work on the 360 controller though..it seems there will be a shortage of buttons

Left joystick - WASD keys

right joystick - mouse

left joystick press - crouch

right joystick press - ultimate

right trigger - mouse attack

left trigger - mouse block (offhand)

A, B, LB, RB - keys 1-4

Here's where it could get confusing

X, Y - key 5, run or jump (missing a button now)

back - E key ?

Anyone use an xbox 360 controller in the beta and want to share their configuration?

I would imagine if I was out of combat, in a city or crafting for example, I would switch back to the mouse
