Best Path To Complete Game (GOTY)

Post » Sun May 02, 2010 12:13 pm

Hello Everyone.

I bought this game last weekend and initially thought I would beat the game and then move on with the expansions. Well, after reading a few posts on this board I realized that might not be the best idea.

As it is now, I'm level 11 and just completed Operation Anchorage. I have been doing far more side quests than I have the main quest. In fact, the last part of the main quest I completed was dealing with the junkie lady (very beginning). I never had a chance to explore to Galaxy Radio as the main quest mentioned, because the side questions seemed closer and best to get out of the way. Well, one of my side quests (Those!) had to find someone a place to live and when I went to do this, it completed part of the main quest that I never did.

My question to you guys is; Is there a certain type of path to follow? not to an exact T, but basically I want to keep a good balance of side questing, main quest, and enjoying the expansions...

I understand many diff. paths are available, I'm just looking for some tips of people that have enjoy the game a few times through already!

Sounds like you're doing just fine. There's so much to explore in this game it isn't funny. There's no real need to pursue the main quest until you're good and ready. Some people never even start the main quest, and they still have a blast. Just do what you want, when you want. This game is more about wandering around and exploring than beating it. Make up your own story. Take your time. There's no real path to follow, that's one of the greatest things about this game, (and other Bethesda games like Morrowind and Oblivion).
