Teldryn is probably the best follower in the game with his mix of melee and magic, but since my GF uses Teldryn constantly, I looking for a comparable follower.

My mind was made up when my GF was playing and her Valdimar was randomly at Labrynthian fighting a frost troll.

So I just started using Valdimar, and I am wondering what you guys think of him in comparison to Teldryn? He is similar in the fact that he knows decent spells and can melee, but Valdimar obviously knows less destruction and a ton of Restoration spells.

Also, what armor is best for Valdimar? It says his class makes him better at Heavy, but he has perks for Light.
