Whats your focus for next beta

Post » Sun Feb 23, 2014 10:18 am

I'd just be happy to actually get an invite. I signed up a few weeks ago and have even pre-ordered the game. No beta invite though. :(

I may test out my alt idea. A two handed sorc. Sorc just seems to be designed for 2-hand and dual wield daggers along with dest staff.

Main is a Breton Nightblade mage but that build matures very slowly. I'd play an Altmer melee sorc in Daggerfall Covenant for the alt.

Try out some different classes to get a feel for what I like. I leveled a sorcerer to 10 and hated it. I plan on going Templar this time. I know I want to heal first and dps second come end game.

Or maybe a Nightblade healer, who knows.

Pretty sure it's been confirmed at some stage a while back that while you could learn everything, you couldn't have everything at the same time. Though you could have a large amount of it at the same time.

From what has been discovered so far there are ~250-300 skill points available which is a fair bit short of what it would take to acquire all the skill trees at any given time (~450ish).

The only skills not available will be the other class skills after you choose your class.

Alchemy and enchantig first priority, then trying an archer and if I got time, pvp for the first time.

I'll try a Nightblade caster Dot/Siphoning build and try some PvP.

Healing. In other MMOs I always end up playing a healer. I made the mistake of reading the beta forums before I started playing and quite a few people said that healing in TESO was terrible. Next beta I want to test it out for myself. Maybe Breton Templar with Restoration Staff to keep it simple. I want to know though, can I just wander around healing random people?

That's nonsense. It's not like the number of skills and skill points would be changing randomly and completely beyond the control of developers. As game designers they decide what's possible.

Either you can or can't get enough skill points to learn all skills (with the obvious exceptions). It's that simple.

It hasn't though. That's the problem.

They said that in one interview with a German site. Meanwhile they've said the opposite in other interviews and that's also what the information in the support Q&A section on the official website says.

So it's definitely not clear.

I have several goals for the next Beta assuming they do not wipe our characters, which I don't think will happen.

(1) Group up with some other players to take down the six group bosses in the level 5-15 playable zone in my alliance as well as the special/hidden group boss in the public dungeon (not the four player group dungeon) in that zone. If there are any other EP players who want to tackle these in Stonefalls, look me up.

(2) Investigate the video from the Tamriel Foundry team to see if we can access the four player group dungeons in the other two alliances like the video suggests. If we can access them, I will be working to clear them.

(3) Explore Cyrodiil for quests and skyshards in an effort to push my level 17 character to level 20 or higher. I also hope to find the treasure on that Cyrodiil treasure map I have.

(4) Push my Blacksmithing skill to level 10, if not level 15 from its current level 7 state.

(5) Push my Provisioning skill to level 50 from its current level 41 state. This skill is way too easy to level but it is a fast source of income.

Of course if new zones are opened beyond the level 15 ones of the last several Beta tests, they will be my first priority. Any official test goals from ESO will be slotted in as well.

Well... you can try.

Single-target heals will automatically target the nearest ally (including NPCs) with the lowest health within range. That may or may not be who you actually want to heal. The aoe heals aren't especially strong and most of the non-dungeon lower level content isn't especially difficult or dangerous so you're not likely to find many players who really need a heal. And health/magicka/stamina regenerates very quickly outside of combat.

Getting online would be nice. I've been in three Beta's so far and unable to log into any of them.

That doesn't sound like the greatest healing mechanic. I'll give it a go I suppose (shouldn't knock it before I try it after all), but I'm having some reservations about it.

Well, I think there will be another wipe for next beta. Because they're opening up the EU server for testing and I reckon they won't transfer characters to it..

If it's going to be just a weekend, I'll probably try out another alliance area (dominion?) and another class (nightblade) and proofread the quests there. Most "bugs" I've found so far were dialogue/quest related.
