If there are certain kinds of addons that you use, and others that you do not, then vote 'Yes'. It actually is that simple.

Well some of use do not play with out add-ons in MMO. A MMO might have add-on, we as players are not forced to use them. They are "adding on" to the game, they are not "part of" the game. It says so in the term

I rarely used add-ons because i had all the info i needed on screen but i think im gonna use them in TESO because this anti add-on crusade is just too funny, i want to be called cheater too!

This "poll" is running off the back of on-going discussions on addons, and a simple "yes" answer would provide an incomplete & inaccurate view.

Which is why you should post to further specify your vote, not to QQ. And what is so hard to understand about what I just told you. If someone ask you if you eat fruit, do you tell him "No, because I don't like apples" or do you tell him "Yes I do, I like oranges and bananas, but the others not so much". The only time you would answer 'No' is when you don't use addons at all.

I only voted no because I am not happy with the extent of the addons. Personally, I feel like they should be a little more limited. When it comes down to addons telling you exactly how to win...it has gone too far in my opinion.
Anyone who doesn't use them will be at a great disadvantage, so it isn't like people have a choice in whether or not they use them.
I'm not going to go as far as to say it will ruin the game, but it will certainly make it a different ball game.
It is like steroids in sports...if one person uses them, he has an advantage....if everyone uses them, the playing field is level again....except everyone has to deal with all those nasty negative effects.
Same way with addons. It won't give you an advantage, because everyone will be using them, but you'll have to deal with negative effects, such as reducing the difficulty and longevity of content, dps requirements for guild recruitment and raid invites, etc.
IMO, they do more harm than good.
I wouldn't mind a few simple addons...but the scope of the addons should be more limited.

really its not that big of a deal.

I put up a poll before with multiple choices and it kept getting derailed so I put a simple yes or no this time I am sure that there will be many different types of Addons from the community after launch.

Almost neck and neck poll wise... Interesting arguments and counters... Most all "are" learning" something here whether we agree or not...

Personally I plan on using add-ons *only* because it can't give me the very basic information every other mmo does. Like how hard am I hitting. Or how much hp does this critter have?

With so many threads posted in the forums where I have clearly explained myself so many blooming times, you ask me to do like-wise in a thread where the poll just doesn't reflect the options?

All I said is that the poll is missing options. If you want a run down on how I think about it, visit the other threads or make a more detailed poll that will not undermine my opinions.

This is a very bad poll, not everyone is agreeing with me!

Think i see a trend here. Some people just like to get all up in others business. You don't like mods so then no one should use them and you don't like how a poll is worded so you do your best to derail it.

Not all polls have the same goals! That's all I'm gonna say. But I agree, let's stop derailing.
