Why are the Heads Helmets still out of proportion?

Post » Mon Feb 24, 2014 11:33 am

You have at least seen it in the char creating window, when your character had a helmet equipped. Mostly Woodelfs, Darkelfs, Argonian and Khajiit have a HUGE helm size compared to the rest of their bodies.

Will this be fixed until release? I do hope so.

That's actually in proportion, unless you are over 6 feet tall in which case your head is probably out of proportion aesthetically.

I think the picture actually is playing a bit of an "illusion" on you with those really tiny shoulder pads. But ofc helmets shouldn't be gigantic and I hope they manage to scale it correctly, it shouldn't involve too much work for them to do.

Edit: And also what Cyba (above me) said.

I heard there was going to be a "hide helmet" option, but I couldn't find it in the beta. It's because the helmets aren't molded to the head, so they look like buckets.

And if it was molded to the head it'd look like a metal gimpsuit mask...and then would also make the head look tiny and out of proportion.

As long as Argonians can wear typical assassin masks/headgear that hide half of the face (like nightingale) I'm fine with it.

Maybe it seems large because the armor is a catsuit.

I'm much more worried about the poor quality of character animations than anything else.

Graphically, it's the only part of the game that is not satisfactory. Honestly, Warhammer Online had far better animations several years ago (before they made all animations in the game jerky while trying to limit lag).
