On The Elder Scrolls Wiki I saw something interesting when reading about dragon armor. The wiki says that "It should also be noted that with the right perks invested in light armor, the Dragonscale armor will render the Daedric armor useless, as it will have a much higher rate." What do they mean by this, and how is it possible?

I'm making a Stormcloak character, and I'm wondering whether to go with light or heavy armor. I know that Stormcloak armor is light, but at the same time I think that there are many cool heavy armors in the game (especially in the Dragonborn DLC). Do you think a nord warrior should wear light or heavy armor?

There is an armour cap of 567 armour rating.
All armours can reach this so no armour is better than another.

So what do they mean by saying "render the armor useless as it will have a much higher rate"?

The Wikia isn't really a good thing for info. The UESP is 1,000x better.

Why is that? I always found the Wikia to be more accurate, and sometimes provide slightly more info :\

Its likely referring to base stats of the weight vs protection value, of course that is mostly just guessing. But seriously michaelpk is right, it makes no difference what armor you use. Last time I played a warrior with a hammer I had maximum armor rating with Iron armor so seriously dragonscale, daedric, glass, fur, whatever use what you like because they are all equal in the end.

It's not accurate. They have been known to copy what's on the uesp, make up their own head lore, and generally lie. The uesp has approximately 20 years of life, edited by people who know what they're talking about. I only go to the wiki for pictures.

The WIkia literally has people making up stuff when it comes to lore...

When it comes to gameplay mechanics, I think they are alright, sometimes when I want to find an console ID for an item the wikia is faster than UESP.

To be honest UESP while a day and night difference when compared with the Wikia is still kinda shoddy. What UESP does is that they will sometimes take several contradicting sources and try to form information out it without making it clear that those are different versions of the same story and inevitably making a mess or sometimes they may add their own conjecture to things they source that cannot either be proven or disproven.

Imperial Library might not contain stuff about gameplay mechanics but it's the top dog when it comes to TES sources not to mention the articles are locked to prevent random fools from messing things up. Oh and it has MK!

Ok, but back to the actual topic: What do you think is a suitable armor for a nord, Stormcloak warrior when it comes to appearance? (Not thinking about Stormcloak armor).

I'd pick Stalhrim.

Steel, Nordic Carved and maybe Scaled armor.

Stalhrim or Carved Nordic. I'd say Carved Nordic if your character also becomes harbinger of the companion because of it's resemblance to Ysgramors armour on his statue. Especially if your on pc.

Nords are as diverse as Italians or Russians or Mexicans. Some Nords are Stormcloaks, some are not. Some wear heavy armor, some do not. Wear whichever armor is most appropriate for the particular character you are playing.

Currently rolling Dragonscale atm. Although the abilities of my current chara are not as good as my last one I can easilly see the forthcoming of a sweet set of Stahlrim armor.

Are you using the heavy version of the Stalhrim, or the light?
