So I have been exploring solstheim a bit and been needing to mine that certain ore (forgot the name sorry) and can't mine without the ancient Nordic pickaxe, I had one a while ago but ditched it for the notched pickaxe. I need it back but can't find another. (I lost the one from the quest) so anyone know a 2nd location?

Not sure which smith MadCat was referring to, but I think the smith in the Skaal Village sells one (iirc, the Raven Rock smith sells one after you do his related quest.).

Yes, they both do. I believe I found one as loot though.

Ya, they can also be found in random loot but from my play throughs, they are a kinda rare (not totally rare).

Glover Mallory will give you a quest to retrieve his which I don't return as it's a weightless pickaxe that's much more handy then the quest reward.
