Hey all so not sure weather I want to rp as blades or Penitus Oculatus. Looking for some opinions. Blades seems like it would be alot easier to rp but i just watched Alexander amd the Penitus Oculatus looks like what they would have worn. Whatever your thinking list some rp ideas and quests I should do. On xbox so no mods please. Thanks guys

Neither, I despise both factions.

But for your sake Harry, roleplaying a Blade would be much easier as you say. Lots of nice weapons and armour can be had by joining the Blades. You can also have your followers be recruited into the faction, and side with the Blades in the MQ.

Play as a Penitus Oculatus. If your on the PC you can giver yourself their armor and RP your part of the elite guard sent to protect Skyrim and possibly help secure it for the empire or something. Be part of Commander Maro's team hunting down the Dark Brotherhood. You could even still be dragonborn if you wished.

the Oculatus armor with steel Imperial gauntlets and boots is pretty friggin' badass.

Is there any more lore on them? Cant find much besides they became the emperors bodyguards after the blades

I don't think you can get the PO armor unless one of them dies. But Blades armor and weapons are given to you. So I vote blades.

Can't really join the Penitus Oculatus, theres just one quest you can do for Maro.

You can have all sorts of fun with the Blades, running around Skyrim and spanking dragons. Just don't take the MQ past a certain point (unless you're willing to carry out Delphine's obscene "request").

And it helps to recruit lots of lightning mages like Onmund and Marcurio. Dragons don't do well against lightning.

I've always thought that recruiting followers was just a small irrelevant feature. I had no idea that they actually did stuff?
