Eat a Sandwich [Female Skyrim]

Post » Thu Feb 27, 2014 3:27 pm

So my brother challenged me to make a female character.

I did, why so skinny?

Om jizzles I swear to god I put the muscleness up way high, but her arms still look like twigs. I like my woman with curves and muscles. Why can I not make a body builder woman? Or just a curvy woman?

I agree 100%. We who play on PC are able to do this with mods. But it would be nice for console users to have the same choice when it comes to body size.

I'm not designing her to be my fantasy. But her arms are so so skinny.

I was trying to design some sort of Native American battle princess. And her arms ugh...they look like toothpicks stuck on a body with big boobies.

all sorts of mods to fix this on the PC :)

But yeah I noticed vanilla weight slider makes her thicker but not muscular.

I noticed that women are actually kinda curvy from behind (or at least the clothing of the game seems to emphasize those curves), slightly curvier compared to the past games, but they aren't really that "built" at all.

I've been saying this since the game came out, but the one game where a large "Brawn Hilda" type character would have been the most appropriate the women are actually the weakest-looking. It's a little unsettling given how huge and muscly (almost comically so) male characters are even in the lowest weight setting.

They were ripped in Morrowind and slightly broad-shouldered in Oblivion, but both still kinda feminine, but they look like supermodels in Skyrim. Dafuq happened?

The same thing that happened to everything in Skyrim: appealing to mass market.

It's a well known fact that all women are excellent full-time cooks, just stock her up Horker Meat. :P

I've never played a female character, so I have no idea about their figure. It's a shame we can't have muscly Orc women.

But we do harry, we have tribal chiefs. :D

Seriously I think you need to make at least one female character. An orc if you like. Then send me the slider info and I'll recreate her on my pc for ya.

I'm better at making badassses than beauties. Idk.. It just doesn't feel right playing as a woman. Perhaps lady players have the same problem?

That's a very generous offer though! I might have to take you up on it. ;)

Hmm. It would be my first attempt, and it wouldn't be a serious playthrough either, as I'm devoting all of my time to Durzub.

But I'll work really hard for the next few days on making a badass Orc for you Harry! :foodndrink:

EDIT: Just for fun... I'll attempt it. :P I didn't want that to come out wrong! I am by no means a master!!!

The arms actually are fairly thick, just not "fat" or "muscular" thick. The problem isn't in the model geometry, it's in the lack of a muscular normal map.

It's been discovered that there is a way to make the body weight slider affect the texture set used on the body and not just a geometry morph; not some kludge or something, it's inherently in the engine but unused in the vanilla game (I blame 11/11/11). Form lists are involved (which are already referred to in-game). That's how I have the Sporty normal maps apply only to certain weight slider values (with 100$ being one of them, natch).

Now if we could only get a modeler to make a good non-ultra-ripped-steroidial-zero-bodyfat obspace normal map for male characters so 0% weight slider male characters don't look... gross. I managed to kindasorta scrub out the veins, but that's it...

If you're looking for the muscular normal maps for female characters, it's not suitable to link to on this board. I can point you in its direction however: search for "sporty" on SkyNex.

A question to the OPer: Do you have a female body mod installed? I find those to have unacceptably low variance in arm size between 0% and 100%. Along with absurd figure proportions, it's the reason I still stick with a derivative of the vanilla body model.

(Yes, I'm aware of BodySlide, no the arms still aren't muscular enough. I can make them quite chubby, bot no deltoids or biceps or whatnot.)

Still skinny, imo.

I want a thicker face.

All the woman in Skyrim are so so so gaunt. I like round faces, fuller faces.

And don't get me started on the Argonians and the Khajits. They remind me of PEZ candy dispensers. Really skinny deformed necks, big heads.

edit-

And can we have a slider for chest hair on my men? I really don't like the manly man chest.

Nope, the slider expands arm and leg size too. But not by much.

Pffft. I had to look that up, looks like it's true. That lady's so slender, I can't imagine her being Wonder Woman unless she bulks up a bit.

Oh, my yes. Don't get me wrong, I like that men actually have hair unlike most games, but more options are nice--especially hairless.

I also find it a little bizarre. Like...is it possible to have a hairy chest, but be practically hairless everywhere else? Those pits and legs are so flippin smooth they practically shine!

Man, I hate finding things like that out. Would've been cool to have a bulky character that isn't freakishly ripped with no body fat and veins all over place in the game, assuming it would've worked like that and not just limited it to specific weights.

==

I really, really hope to see the "triangle" option that ESO has in the next game. Being able to change whether you want your character to be thin, fat, or muscular and anywhere in-between in the main games would be a dream come true for me. (Honestly, I want every single customization option that ESO has in TES VI.)
