Launcher is still not working

Post » Fri Feb 28, 2014 8:00 am

Whenver I reinstall or open manually from the folder the launcher launches, but no screen comes up. I go into task manager and it says the process is running, but there's nothing there? Any help?

I have made a topic before but no on has replied D: I really want to play the beta!

A large percentage of us (if not a majority) do not have access to the beta forums.

I've contacted customer support, I'm just wondering if anyone on the forums know anything about this problem.

Try rebooting then run it.

I have tried restarting, but to no avail. Still doesn't work after a reboot. However, it works completely fine on my other laptop. The launcher screen comes up fine, unlike on this laptop.

Firewall? Cant think of other easy to fix sollutions.

One more thing you can do, look for launcher start issues for diffrent games. As it has something to do with your rig and might as well be a common problem, not related to ESO only.

Hmm, didn't think about firewall. I heard you can let it through but I don't know which ports to forward.

If you know how that works, that might work. I tried once to mess with that, but its a frikkin study in its own right.

So you can just deactivate it for a sec, if that doesnt work, i would start googling. Google is your man when it comes to fixes for this kind of thing.

Launcher Closes Without Warning / Does not open when clicked
1. Try running as an admin by right clicking on the executable and selecting "Run As" and "Administrator"
2. Try removing and http://support.leagueoflegends.com/entries/234257-pvp-net-and-adobe-air.
3. Make sure your http://support.leagueoflegends.com/entries/234288-windows-settings-troubleshooting are set properly.
4. Make sure you're up to date on all of your Windows Updates (Service Packs)
5. If you recently did a system restore, had a virus or did a Windows reinstall, you may want to try http://support.leagueoflegends.com/entries/234176-reinstalling-league-of-legends.

From the first google search link.

Dont know how bad you want to play tomorrow, but if all these options dont work, im sure there are more. When looking at these 5, its from fastest solution to slowest if it judge that well.

You can try running the launcher as administrator. I had a problem where the launcher started but it would crash when I hit play. I managed to solve it by updating my Nvidia drivers.

Got it working! It was either the Adobe AIR on internet explorer options changing that solved it. Thanks!
