Daedric shrine Bleaker's way quest : IV

Seem like I had slight problem with this quest the last time also. I've killed both Horl and Nivan and placed the ring and knife on the others body. I think the evidence has to be placed on the body? But I'm not getting the acknowledgement saying so.??

Take the ring from your inventory and place it in theirs then you should get a guest update.

Sorry Guys,,figured it out for myself..It's like putting stuff in a chest,,click on the body first TNEN place your evidence. I spent too much time trying to find the ring after it rolled off the body.. Thanks

What platform are you on?

You could also remove the items and try re-planting to see if that updates the quest.

This is all I could find, from UESP:

Sometimes, if you kill either leader and plant evidence too quickly (i.e. before you have received the quest update saying that the leader is dead), the game will act as though the evidence wasn't planted; this can be remedied by simply removing the evidence, and re-planting it (you will know that this has happened if you can still see the stolen item in the dead body's inventory list).
