"Sunned and Warmed."
I've been searching through http://esohead.com/books ever since the NDA Dropped, and I've decided to list all of the new Argonian lore that has been included in the Elder Scrolls Online and I'll try to make sense of them. To start, we'll start with music!

"A shallow pool is all I ask
Water for roots
Mist and shadow
Leaves lifting toward the sky
Gentle rain is all I need
Cloak of night
Warmth and rain
Murmurs in the darkness
A shallow pool is all I want
Memories held
Old stories told
Surrounded by children
Who call me their Hist"
To me, this song seems to be an Argonian trying to voice out the thoughts of an Hist tree and its comfort as it grows throughout the Marsh. Interesting, it seems that the Hist need an abundancy of water, along with the water being a part of the Hist Hive Mind RAM.

"Do you have five children, Mother?
I've heard that you do.
Five children? No, tonight I have four!
Four children, sweet and pure.
Four and no more!
Do you have four children, Mother?
I've heard that you do.
Four children? No, tonight I have three!
Three children abed late today.
Three and no more!
Do you have three children, Mother?
I've heard that you do.
Three children? No, tonight I have two!
Two children, quiet and shy.
Two and no more!
Do you have two children, Mother?
I've heard that you do.
Two children? No, tonight I have one!
One child, singing a song.
One and no more!
Do you have one child, Mother?
I've heard that you do.
One child? Please, I have none!
They're with their father now
And live here no more."
A very interesting one right here. In this poem, the Mother's starts off with five children. A person comes and sees how many children she has left, but each time they do the Mother replies she has one child less. This continues until the Mother has no more children. To me this seems symbolic of Argonians eventually growing up and leaving the Marsh. The children attend their Naming Day, and leave to explore the rest of Tamriel. However, another theory is that this could be an Argonian view on death. "They're with their father now, and live here no more" can be seen as the children's souls returning to the Hive Mind of the Hist.

"Come, my lad, let us speak
Come, fair maid, let us talk
Scale to scale
Tip to tail
Fair maiden
Hist-maiden
And sap-drenched lad"
Argonian mating/dating. Could also be an interpretation of an Argonian honeymoon. Also, phrases used actually in the song, especially towards the end. I would delve deeper, but it's to early in the morning for such thoughts. Maybe later.
http://esohead.com/books/1134-the-lusty-argonian-maid-a-song
"NOTE: A male/female duet, beginning with the male and alternating stanzas.
Crantius Colto is my name
My lusty Argonian maid
I've something here for you to clean
Come burnish now my blade!
I'm Lifts-Her-Tail the maid, it's true
A lusty Argonian maid
But your task is just too much, good sir,
I've never seen such a long blade!
Tut-tut, my dear, that's not what I hear,
My lusty Argonian maid
And Lady Colto's gone to Kvatch
No need for you to be afraid
Nay, I am needed elsewhere, sir,
Though your blade's so long and so hard
I'm needed to tend the instrument large
Of a sultry Argonian bard"
An in-universe parody of both the Lusty Argonian Maid and the Sultry Argonian Bard. Also a romance story, similar to the Fair Argonian Maiden, but played for humor.

Well, that was all the Argonian songs I could find currently. If you see any, be sure to let me know and I'll add it to the post. Stay tune for Part II. And drink your Ovaltine.
