When all is said and done will you guys buy ESO at launch?

Post » Fri Feb 28, 2014 7:10 am

  1. I pre-purchased the Digital Imperial Edition.
  2. Agreed. Grouping is discouraged because of severe phasing and no shared quest items. As it happens, I'm primarily a solo player, so it doesn't bother me, but I do recognize it as an issue for those who like to group.
  3. It's not any more expensive than other AAA MMO titles. Indeed, the collector's edition was substantially less expensive than those from other games (by a wide margin).
  4. The game costs exactly the same as any other MMO on release. It has a subscription, but so do other very successful MMO's. It is more expensive than single player games like Skyrim, no doubt about it, but it's an MMO. Very standard pricing here.
  5. I would buy it again, yes, and do not consider the price to be unreasonable in any way.

Not buying until I find out all the details of exactly how the game mechanics work concerning add-on/mods. Withholding basic info like this until launch raises red flags on a pre-order.

I HOPE this NEVER goes free to play , they built the Game for us and I believe they should get Paid in full for their work seriously the 15$ sub is how they put food on their families tables id rather pay full price for the product then watch the game be trashed by free to play and or Money market like other games that have tried those options

I like that the dev's withhold this info...maybe trying to find anyone who wants to break their and usher them to the next generation.

If they have given you all the info you need that's great but they haven't answered any of my questions I have asked.

if you haven't paid in full for this game yet, you are doing something wrong.

Already bought it. If you're struck with buyers remorse get a refund. It's ok to not like ESO, just be confident enough in your knowledge of your own tastes to know what you like and dont like.

They stated on the beta forums once about giving modders access to the API For user interface purposes so they could allow modders to cater to the broad MMO market of players.

Not like it costs that much.. $80 for Imperial edition? I'll just not go to the range for target practice for 2 weeks and save that in ammo cost :-)

I think what he meant is the stance on what ZOS think it should be allowed and what is not allowed. What we have right now is just an API. Most people who are not familiar with API and programming wouldn't even know what is possible and not possible. The API list linked before on esoui or esohead give you some insight but not all when you dunno the param as well as the return value.

Already bought my physical collectors edition awhile back. Price seems just fine for me when i view the "total package" in my perspective.

True what i am stating to is the information which we have been given access to is clear as the mods are already out there. The mods are only what is standard for an interface in the MMO market. Now some state Yea but Zeni are trying to break the mold give us more immersion etc. which is fine but Zeni also knows they need to cater to the mmo market for this game to be a success Which means having these kind of features which some want those who want them will still svck if they are a bad player won't they mate?. And this portion and make no mistake its a big portion will only go elsewhere if this interface is kept at the minimalist level and addons get banned. And lets face it nobody wants this.
