So, I got to wondering while playing a game I had downloaded onto my PS3 (Specifically: Theme Hospital) and it got me to thinking. With the strong push toward digital mediums and the slow but seemingly sure abandoning of physical copy gaming, will games that are and will be considered 'classics' become relics and difficult to obtain or will the push to digital formats allow classics and old games a better chance to survive without the need to shell out excessive amounts for a copy of an old and hard to find games on Ebay/collector stores?
Anyway, I'm curious how you feel about the fate of old games and today's games become older as the industry changes through the years in an increasingly digital/non-hard copy medium.
