Differences in PC and Xbox One

Post » Sat Mar 01, 2014 5:13 am

Any info possible
I have a laptop that will play ESO but I'd feel better playing it on my Xbox seeing how my laptop is near death. I've always played elder scrolls games on the PC because of the mods. Since this is an online game I figured the modding community would be crushed. Does anyone else have any info on this? And do you think it will be watered down on consoles?

Console will be the same game just with a controller. The graphics may be slightly lower but hardly noticeable unless you look for the differences.

Not exactly, I could have sworn console users don't get mods? *shrugs* Not sure how much the op cares about that.

Yeah, MMOs without a keyboard is just... weird. There's no good way to do it for the Xbox One / PS4, as far as I can see. It'll be proximity voice chat and you'll have people yelling everywhere, or you'll have to bring up an on-screen keyboard and type super slow. OP, unless your laptop is gonna die any minute now, I'd get it for the PC.

You would have to pay for Live to play ut, but if you plan to anyhow then go ahead. The only thing is waiting two months til consoles launch

Wow, so many misconceptions. You can use your keyboard on the PS4 and (I believe as well) Xbox one. So if you prefer to chat on your keyboard or on the mic or on both, you have the option.

Modding will probably not be possible (thank god, not a fan of it) but then again, it hasn't been confirm either way.

Yessir. Just pretty much plug it in, and the PS4 will recognize it.

Ps4 supports keyboard so I'd say its a given.

The console supports it, yes. But does the console version of the game? I would assume so since the original was mapped to keyboard.

I'm pretty sure it does. Is there a confirmation for it officially? No, but then again, it wasn't really a confirmation for FFXIV until people just simply plugged the keyboard in. I think its pretty much a give in that it will support the game with kb and mouse.

Good enough for me. I will use controller anyhow. But I have a friend who prefers keyboards. So if he can use it on PS4, he wont have any reason not to get it for it.

Keyboard is confirmed on Xbox One as well. So the only differences are that pc may have slightly better graphics but eh I doubt it. A five year old pc can run the game. The Ui will be different and pc will have some types of mods. Not anything like skyrims, more along the lines of better interface and such. Dont listen to people saying there will be shortage in players that's not true. Unless the game is considered bad by the public? But dont expect any huge differences.

Doubt a 5 year old pc gets 95fps on max inc draw distance, resolution will be one off 720p 900p or the standard 1080p.

Shortage of players is a problem low user base split into us and eu servers making a small pool even smaller, dont forget mmorpg is a niche game market, titanfall no matter how awful it is will top the Xbox One sales.
