Updates for Xbox360

Post » Sat Mar 01, 2014 7:42 am

Help me..... back in trouble again. Since I last contacted this forum. I think my Xbox updated itself and fixed a range of issues in the Skyrim V game. Now I notice that the "Purity- Champions quest" automatically goes to a completed quest as soon as I walk out the door of Jovasskr, Vilkas never follows, even when I have no followers and ask him to. I also seemed to be getting repeat quests for the same objects i got many times before and the bard colleges quest objects are still in my inventory.

How can i know which updates i have automatically received. How do i turn automatic updates off? I seem to have no facilities in the game to do these things manually for the Xbox

Skyrim is buggy!? I don't believe you Harry. :stare:

I don't think it's your xbox. I think it's Skyrim being Skyrim.

My advice would be to take all of the current Skyrim updates and just go with it, as Hagrid said, Skyrim is full of bugs. Over time you will get used to the various bugs and learn to work around them like most of us do. However, if you have any further problems don't hesitate to ask questions, there's usually someone on here who will be able to help.

If you received an update to the Xbox itself, it will say that xbox is updating its system. There has been no update as far as I know during the month of February and most of January. If there is an update for Skyrim, then it came with the Legendary edition of the game, or you have just installed the game. There has not been an update for Skyrim for a super long time now, nor is there one coming. I play on the xbox.

My suggestion is to go to the dashboard and go to where your system is, and make sure the harddrive is selected and press Y to clear the cache. Do this twice. If you have autosaves on, turn them off as they are known to cause problems, especially with loading times. Hope this helps.

You are stuck with those musical instruments, a new character would not have that problem, since they fixed the glitch, but an old character stuck with them has them for life on the consoles. You automatically receive all updates if your Xbox 360 is online, so would be playing the latest version of Skyrim, there has not been a new patch since April 2013 and there will be no more, they are finished with Skyrim.

If you keep getting the same radiant quests than stop doing them and go do something else, or create a new character and start again, play a bit differently.

Seems like you have the 1.9 update because one of the problems it fixes is quitting quests properly. Did you start the quest Purity by speaking to Vilkas? The fact that the quest is now done may be why he won't follow you.

Just one of the over 9000 bugs.
