Sudden Overheating

Post » Sun Mar 02, 2014 2:10 pm

I've been playing Skyrim for a long time on my laptop, and it's worked just fine 30-60 fps. I was doing pvp on dark souls, so i decided in between fights i'd play skyrim to pass time. After just loading a save i noticed the section above the laptop's vent was getting really hot, then boom overheat/shutdown.

I haven't modified my laptop position ever, suddenly overheats happen

Any tips?

Going from one game straight to the next without giving the system a quick break can make it pretty hot IMO. You were mentioning in between fights...Sorry for a dumb question but you don't have Dark Souls and Skyrim on at the same time, do you?

Ah, ok, that explains it

What are your system specs? Any mods? What settings are you running the game on?

I have a few mods, just installed a few new ones, lemme deactivate them and retry.

Happened to be the recent mods i guess, just worked fine
