Beta Client - Hangs for 1-2 Seconds roughly every 3 minutes.

Post » Sun Mar 02, 2014 8:03 pm

Hi folks

When playing in the beta client this weekend, the game wouldrandomly stall for 1-2 seconds, like a minifreeze, and then continue as if nothing occured. This actually started to become really frustrating to my play experience.

- Is this a known issue?
- Is anyone else encountering something similar?

I don't have the greatest PC specs, but they are above the minimum requirements
(64 bit Win 7, 2.9ghz dual core processor, 4gb RAM, Geforce GTX650)

I did fully intend to buy this game but I would like some assurance that it isn't just me experiencing this, otherwise It's alot of money to invest for a game I can't play properlly.

I've been getting hit by it too. Who knows what it is.

Less than a month from launch, it's unlikely any bugs will be fixed at this point.

I just submitted a support ticket with a dxdiag included, hopefully someone can shed some light on it.

Edit: Response from the ESO Web Team

"Thank you for contacting The Elder Scrolls Online Team,

Thank you for reporting this! We are currently aware of this issue and are working to fix it. Our team is working hard to ensure this game is as great as it can be before launch. We couldn't do it without beta testers such as yourself!
Keep up the good work!"

Okay, I have a mailto:2500k@4400ghz, 8 gigs of ram, GTX680, and OS-Win7. I was recently getting this hang-up too on this third beta. I can guess to attribute to two factors. One, this is my third beta and I have installed a huge amount of game software and updates without doing a defrag. I recently did this along with an Optomisation on my gaming drive. It helped a lot but the game was still a little laggy during peak hours yesterday. First Lag I have encountered in three betas. Since others were complaining about the lag at the same time as me I can only attribute to Larger Numbers of players. This Beta was to actually stress test for a large population. If they did encounter some lag then that is something they will have to work on.

@OP--Kozuka, your 650 has enough punch to play the game but the amount of memory your vid-card has is right at the minimum. Even my GTX680 has only 1.5 gigs of memory which is not optimal. In the reqs for the game, they are saying that 2gigs of Memory is optimal. I would upgrade my system memory to at least 8 gigs or even 16 gigs and maybe add an additional gtx650. It wouldn't hurt either to turn up the juice on your CPU, if you can.

Good Luck and enjoy the game as you can.

Lucky you, for me it would sometimes freeze every 10-15 seconds while moving :)
