So -- As a hardcoe Oblivion and Skyrim fan...I love the Khajit. They're my favorite race. But, I also love stealthy archery (no magic). That's the way I like to play.

I've been told that I can ignore the race abilities and just do what I want, but this is stupid. By NOT choosing to go melee with Khajit, I am, in essence, already starting with a nerfed character compared to other people. This is REALLY STUPID GUYS.

You can stick with once concept if you wish but the game is still a TES game ... you are expected to learn many skill lines and change your build to what ever you want. It is a core horizontal progression systems built into the game.

I suggest people stop thinking like they are playing an mmo with classes. I.E. a sorc is not a mage. It is a starting point to build whatever you want offered within the class and every single skill line outside of a class. You get 2 weapons. Use a bow and another weapon for a back up. I would love to know what archer out in the wild would not have a knife or some melee weapon as a backup. They'd have a knife if only to cut up their kills.

How so? The one racial ability which directly affects melee performance (carnage) isn't unlocked until level 25. Since it's unavailable at the start, I don't understand how you are starting with a nerfed character.

It does, and the khajiit have it.

Oh, extra dps trinket ? How about +3% extra melee crit chance and +15% extra crit damage on all attacks ? You'd better roll a kitty.

A little extra DPS is no where near the same level as the ability to break CC. Stunned kitties do zero DPS.

I'd just roll whatever you want and play whichever weapon you want. When you get owned in PvP, I guarantee it won't be because you aren't abusing Carnage.

As for PvE, DPS meters are lulzy.

What ? In wow the only advantage of the EMFH racial was precisely the possibility to equip an extra dps trinket in place of the pvp trinket, on a human. Everyone has pvp trinkets in pvp in wow unless they're terribads.

In ESO the pvp trinket is just an ability available to all players, while khajiit have extra burst damage = wow.

I still stand by this unless I see actual proof otherwise. Gimmick burst DPS may be annoying in duels, but there are going to be dead kitties everywhere in Cyrodiil.

The best burst classes in WoW were also among the worst in group pvp. Just sayin'

Isn't playing the style/race/whatever you want more important worrying if someone else can do 10DPS more than you?? As is typically in all things, there will always be someone better than you. So stop worrying about it and just have fun!
