Alright, let me fill you in on some of my Elder Scrolls History.
I first saw Oblivion on a walkthrough. The game caught my attention so I bought it. I LOVED Oblivion and I played the game for hundreds of hours. Then I was so excited when Skyrim came out, so I played that and...honestly, I preferred Oblivion more. Skyrim isn't BAD it's just...weak. Anyway, I saw several videos and read several comments about how Morrowind was the best Elder Scrolls game and seemed to be the fan favorite.
So, one day, I just happened to find a Morrowind copy for the PC in a cabinet. I was shocked, so I downloaded the game to my PC and began to play it. So I put it in the disk drive and it loaded and then the words Morrowind 666 popped up! And there as hyper-realistic blood all over! And...OK, sorry I couldn't resist.
Now, I'm playing it right now, and I have a few questions about the game. I would appreciate it if you were on the vague side and not give TOO much info...I know this is the spoilers section, but I just thought it was a little too much to put in General Discussion.
(Just to let you know, I've only done like three side quests and all I've gotten to is the Fighter's Guild mission AFTER you kill the agents in the mines.)
1) Does Morrowind have a main quest in the sense of Skyrim or Oblivion? Because I really haven't found anything yet, and all I'm doing is work for the Fighter's Guild. I was wondering if there WAS a main quest.
2) I understand there are the 3 Great Houses on the island. But all I've seen is House Hlaalu . I know I have two more houses I can join, but I haven't seen them yet. I want to join a Great House, but I don't want to just join Hlaalu because they're the only one I've seen (although from what I learned in-game, I'll probably join them). So will I run into the other Great Houses in the Fighter's Guild questline? And if not, can you perhaps point me in a general direction to search for these houses?
3) What's bad about the Imperial Legion? I mean, in lore terms. From everything I've seen from all three games...they don't seem really bad. I mean, why would anyone oppose them?
4) Morrowind doesn't have a HUGE GIANT ARROW pointing you wherever in the world, something I really like. But sometimes the directions are really confusing, is there a spell or something similar to the Clairvoyance spell in Skyrim?
OK, now here are my first thoughts...
Alright, I really like how it starts off. Unlike Oblivion flinging you off in the middle of nowhere, Morrowind starts you off in a small town where you can do a few side quests. I love all the different dialog options you can choose, although it's useless because they all say the EXACT SAME THING WORD FOR WORD! I would have at least bring across the same point, but in different wording. Something else I learned is that, according to most players, your decisions and choices matter in this game, something I'm excited about. And so far I've been having fun.
So I would really appreciate it if you could answer my questions. Thanks in advance.
