It's a shame this game is what it is currently. I can't justify paying 60$ and then 15$/mo to play a game that has so many restrictions. I love playing Orc, my girlfriend loves Wood Elf - we can't play together since they're different factions. The fact that the game also has races and other content locked to "Imperial Edition" is nothing short of ridiculous. Really, imperials & "play any faction with any race!" is locked to pre-ordering? What a brilliant idea (sarcasm).

Can we also talk about how the game is set to launch next month and the build they allow us to play has so many flaws it's not even funny? Don't get me wrong I know how beta's work. They are never the most up-to-date build nor do they reflect the final product, but this is just insane.

The game does a lot to take aspects that worked from other MMOs - but it doesn't do it well enough to meld the different systems together in a fluid format, leading to clunky movement, combat, UI, and professions. Not to mention, once again, the fact that you have to PRE-ORDER to play any race with any faction. Any time I see a game that does crap like that is an instant no buy from me.

I wish everyone who plans on getting this at launch all the best. I will see you 6 months to a year when this is free to play.

Well, technically the Imperials are a Imperial Edition bonus, not pre order. And to play on the same faction, all you have to do is pre order. If you don't then you'll run into the same problem at F2P, then we won't see you, and we'll be sad....not.

I already posted all my feedback directly to Zenimax regarding the beta, gameplay and other feedback relating to the game itself. I posted this hear to express my problems and concerns with stuff like this in the gaming industry. If you are all ok with a game that will launch a month from now with months of polish to follow (that you'll pay 60 + 15(x) dollars to play while they fix the issues, then hey good for you.

Also don't get me wrong guys, I enjoy Elder Scrolls - I own every game to date including the Anthology despite having owned all the games prior to the release of the Anthology. I just don't feel like this game is A) ready starting with good practices. 60$, plus monthly fee, plus microtransactions, plus pre-order bonuses? Yeah I'll pass. Thanks.
